The United Colonial Republic- Official History

The United Colonial Republic's history began in the early 21'st century.

21st Century- The Fall of Powers

2018- NATO along with the United States attack Iran's Nuclear facilities. Russia along with China are shocked that western powers would go this far to disarm a nation.

2020- Iran after two years of allied occupation becomes a democratic state and votes in a prime minister. China continues to build up it's military force. North korea implodes, South korea sends troops to keep order. South korea with U.N. approval annexes North korea, and become The Republic of Korea

2021- Brazil invades Venezuela after Venezuela agents assassinate the Brazilian president and her family, Cuba intervenes on the side of Venezuela. The great South American war begins.

2024- Argentina along with Mexico help Brazil recover after Cuban spies detonate three nuclear weapons in the capital.

2026- Venezuela surrenders and becomes a satellite state of Brazil. Cuba fights on after Argentina invades the island.

2030- Cuba surrenders and becomes a capitalist like country. America lifts embargoes placed on Cuba earlier in the 20th century.

2045: Global warming becomes worse, at this time more then a quarter of Antarctica melts, the ice around Greenland melts as well. Many coastal cities are now under water. Island nations like New Zealand are partially underwater. The U.N. charters that operating a machine on oil is punishable with sanctions. Saudi Arabia's exports are slowed.


The Global Wars

2050- The U.N. led by the security council vote to create habitats above the orbit of Earth.

2063- The first orbital facility for humans is created it holds at least 1,000 people. Only the most elite can afford it.

2065- Many people around the world are furious that only the rich are allowed to leave the Earth. At this time, many coastal cities are recovering and have built enormous sea walls. Nations world wide are beginning to reseed the earth and plant entire forests in an effort to stave off global warming. Chemicals are released in the atmosphere to destroy the Co2 gasses from the early 21st century.

2070- Russia's economy collapses due to European banks destroying records of what they had. Loans were given to Russia so it could build one of it's own habitat but the loans were based on Credit and Russia's credit score is very bad. Europe experiences a total failure of banks.

2071- Egypt and other middle eastern nations lend money to Russia and Europe but soon find themselves being drowned in debt. Turkey's ambassador is assassinated in Greece by Greek nationalists. Turkey in turn takes the island of Crete which is now 40 percent underwater with a surprise invasion Greece declares war on Turkey. In response the united states intervenes.

2073- Talks are not reached for peace between Greece and Turkey. Greek nationalists take over the government and establish a fascist type government it's economy soars upwards. Russia seeing it's opportunity to get it's economy back on track sides with Greece. The U.N. intervenes after Greece takes the capital of Turkey. Russia supports an assassination of the Greek government and becomes allies with the nation of Turkey. It double crosses Greece, Turkey's economy soars higher then Greece and loans money to Russia that Russia can repay

2074- Greece finds out about the plot before it unfolds, Russia is kicked out of the United Nations. In response, China calls for an emergency meeting between Russia and Greece. However Russia becomes increasingly militant. Russia then invades Greece. Turkey walks out of NATO after talks with Russia.

2075- With Greece under Russian rule the U.N. again tries to intervene, after NATO tries to establish a foothold on the Greek mainland, Turkey launches a nuclear weapon at the landing site. Over half a million NATO troops are killed. NATO declares war on Russia and Turkey.

2076. The United States sides with NATO. Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Libya join forces with Turkey and Russia. China isolates itself. India, Bangladesh, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia comes on the side of the western forces. South America sides with NATO. World War three begins

2098- World War three ends with NATO and it's allies victorious. The U.N. allows Russia back in on the security council. The Allies don't implement any conditions on it's enemies due to the destruction.

22nd Century

2110- U.N. sponsored mission to build a colony on the Moon.

2134- The Colony Heinlein is built, over a million people live and work.

2145- A mission to Mars is set into motion. China, The United States, Russia, South Africa, Pakistan and Japan together send a 30 person mission to Mars.

2147- Mankind lands on Mars and return to Earth

2169- The United States experiences a revolt in Washington D.C. due to lobbyists having too much power in Congress. The revolt is put down after a week of fighting. However Lobbyists are kicked out of the United States political system altogether.

2189- American CIA agents on Luna discover the Chinese are going to sabotage the Heinlein Colony so China can have claim over the moon. The Chinese agents are arrested. China is enraged and walks out on talks with the United States.

2190- World War four breaks out with the middle east and China against NATO, the U.S. and Africa

23rd Century

2200- African Armies reach the outskirts of the Chinese border. China's forces have invaded the United States and are on the outskirts of Washington D.C. NATO and U.S. forces are slowly loosing the battle. China however surrenders when African troops show up on the borders of China and begin to destroy military targets.

2201- China's military is disbanded. The U.N. soon cuts up China into smaller states. Vietnam gains half of China. Mongolia get's most of northern china. Korea gains land and quadruples in size.

2203- Mankind establishes more colonies on the moon, this time named: Asimov, Cameron and Wells.

Seeds of Empire

2217- The first colony on Mars experiences a power failure. The water system also fails killing most colonists. Later investigation determines the automated computer operating the functions of the colony was inserted with a virus. The traitor is later found and executed.

2231- Mars now has at least 56 cities across it's surface and there are multiple terraforming plants to create Mars like Earth. However there are some on Mars who do not want the planet to be terraformed the group "The Radical Reds" is established

2239- The Radical Reds gain support in local parliamentary elections. The local Parliament of Mars declares the planet independent of Earth

2240- The U.N. sends ambassadors to Mars to discuss the issues. The reds want the planet to be independent of Earth and do not want the planet to be terraformed under any condition. Economic issues such as high prices of fuel are brought to the table. And finally the reds demand that the Earth lower the costs of food and medical supplies to the martians. Only then will they remain a colony of Earth. The U.N. only agrees to the demands of terraforming and fuel. Talks soon break down. The U.N. soon declares Mars a rouge state.

2241- The U.N. sends in N.A.T.O. and U.S. militaries to deal with the situation. However the Martain navy defeats both invasion fleets with thermonuclear weapons. Over3 million E.U. and U.S. personal die. Martain military issues a draft.

2242- U.S. navy destroy the Martain Navy in battle. N.A.T.O. troops aboard U.S. spaceships establish a beachhead on the southern ice cap of Mars. Martain Army defeated at the landing zone. Three local towns in the ice cap are captured. Local residents become guerrilla fighters and fight the local occupation. Martain Army and Marines counter attack and reclaim two of the local towns. N.A.T.O. troops reinforced by U.S. troops

2243- NATO and U.S. troops break the siege of the ice cap and begin to reclaim the southern half of the planet. However many cities after being captured become strongholds for insurgents. The Radical Reds experience a coup and surrender to the U.N. Titan is colonized by the U.N.

2244: Under terms some items that led to conflict are resolved. Mars keeps it's local government but is still tied economically to Earth. However Mars can decide on local affairs. The Radical Reds gladly accept these terms .The U.N. has to ask permission from the local Martain government if it can build terraformers from now on which was at the heart of the Mars Revolution.

2256-Titan is colonized and the U.N. decides to have Titan produce food for all the planets and colonies in system. Europa and Io are also colonized. The U.N. realizing that it may soon not be enough to govern the Solar System reorganizes itself into the United Colonial Republic on October 3 of that year. The nations of the world are brought under one government. National armies are disbanded. Nations still exist but now function as a local government and not the sole government. United Colonial Navy is founded

Economic Expansion

2256- Colonial space ship Louis XVI disappears around Neptune. Scientists sent to investigate realize that they accidental tumbled into a wormhole. United Colonial Army and Special Drop Corps founded. The military is aptly named the United Colonies for Humanity's Defense.

2259- A colonization fleet join with the U.C.N. and enter the worm hole now dubbed a closed warp point warp point. The fleets soon discover that they are in Alpha Centuari. Louis XVI found to be in orbit around the planet named Arcturus. The U.C.N.. along with the colonial ships discover a small town had been built and most colonists survived. The U.C.R. discovers more warp points in the Alpha Centuari system.

2285- Arcturus is colonized rapidly with many cities rising up and military installations being founded. The United Colonial Army and the Special Drop Corps found their first bases outside of the solar system. Pluto established as a Naval post. Europa's water supplies are sent to the system for cheap water.

2286- Earth experiences a large famine and sends expeditions beyond the Alpha Centuari system. The U.C.N. sends two expeditions to find habitual planets. The Alpha Centuari System is discovered to have twelve warp points, the navy sends fleets through two of them. One system named Redwing is found to have a habitual planet.

2289- The colony on Zanabar is founded. It has a suitable climate to grow crops and Terran animals thrive. However what really attracts the rush to Zanabar is the fuel for the navy that is found on the ocean floors. Hundreds of thousands take up jobs in underwater operations to mine for fuel.


2291- The system of Sandhurst is discovered within three months the local planet Ravenette is founded to be suitable for colonization. The U.C.R. declares that the planet Ravenette is to be a planet to feed the millions across the growing empire since Zanabar has become a mining world.



2296- Aronz declares bankruptcy after regulators discover that it had manipulated the local economy on Ravenette. The navy now owns the old colonies that were once on Luna and begin construction of the future main naval port.

24th Century

2300-  A mining accident kills 454 workers on Zanabar.

2312- The colony ship Plato en route to the newly discovered system of Hector is destroyed as it goes through the warp point. The warp engine was not properly mounted. Over 3,500 people die. Only 54 people are able to be rescued. The government begins to issue stricter safety regulations.

2313- Magnum's World in the Hector System quickly becomes a military world due to more minerals being found.


2332- The star system of Tau Ceti is discovered by a newly discovered warp point in the Hector system. First landings to the habitual planet Sanctuary are quickly hushed up by the government. Sanctuary becomes a secret planet. No unauthorized personal are allowed in the Tau Ceti star system at all.

2339- Two new star systems from Tau Ceti are discovered, the system of Galloway's Star and Marathon are soon surveyed

2341- Marathon becomes the main port for the navy other then the Solar System. It quickly becomes a military world thanks to the newly discovered starship fuel on the surface of the planet.

2356- The new system of Galloway's star is opened to the public. The planet Hod becomes a major tourist attraction, as many people begin to travel there for vacation.

The influence of corporations

2378- The planet Shoreridge has it's first colony in the system of Epsilon Eridani

2389- The systems Alpha Proxmia and Wolf 424 are colonized. A new taxation law is passed in the Senate, taxing many corporations. The U.C.R. currently experiences a colonization bubble that bursts.

2391- Unofficial colonies in the systems of South Draconis, Shaka, Swaziland and Rubicon are set up by various corporations without the consent of the government. The colonists who were sent to these newly discovered systems were not told that the colony that they were living on was illegal.

2396- The Republican Court soon presses charges against the various companies of Acervus, Bellum, Medius, Mortuus and the private bank of Free Capital. The companies are taken to court for charges of planting illegal colonies without government knowledge. Free Capital is found guilty of forging colonial documents to get people sent to the illegal colonies.

2397- The companies are handed down sentences: Numerous counts of fraud, bribery, forgery, hacking, tax evasion and others are charged. The companies agree to pay back taxes on the colonies that they had secretly created.

25th Century

2400- The Court also issues charges against individual colonists who knew about the secret colonies being set up but not telling the government. The charges are soon dropped due to mass public protest.

2405- A new law requires regulators to be present whenever a colony is presented to the government to make sure it is legal. The companies soon file suit stating it is a invasion of business.

2407- The court rules down that the companies cannot be trusted and must be regulated more. However in return any company wishing to set up a colony get's a tax break to make sure another colonization bubble does not occur.

2412- The government declares that companies to stop colonizing new systems for the next century due to the complexity of trying to govern so many star systems. Multiple companies file suit with the government.

2415- The court once more rules that the companies have the right to settle new worlds but must wait until the government can manage colonies better. A bill is passed to make planetary colonies have their own government.

2416- Every colony now has it's own local form of government, however no matter what, each colony must obey the government. Local government is encourage to handle local problems.

2424- The company Radical Drives a space freighting company creates it's own local government on the planet Zukl in the Rubicon system. It also allows another company Star Drilling to mine for ore since they have excellent equipment to mine for ore. Other companies take notice of this.

2436- Radical Drives merges with another company Black Fist a mercenary company to have security for it's freighters. This new company is now called Colonial Stars. Other systems such as Swaziland, Shaka, Wolf 424, South Draconis, Alpha Proxima, Epsilon Eridani, Gallaway's star are now ruled by private compainies. The UCHD begins to build up it's navy due to the private compainies' possessing a larger navy then the UCR.

The Insurection Movement

2441- A radical right winged group emerges on the planet of Hod in Gallaway's Star due to the corporation of Blau banning unions. The group turns to violence since they have tried legal ways of justice.

2442- Colonial Stars is hired to root out the insurrection on Hod. The terrorist group calls itself People's Justice, an announce that they will have a workers union. Bombings in public squares become common place across the cities of Hod.

2443- The mercenaries of Colonial Stars track down the top ranking member of the People's Justice, she is captured and quickly executed. the UCR is upset at this but cannot take legal matters aganist Blau

2447- Multiple terrorist organizations come into existance in the systems Alpha Proxima, Epsilon Erandi, Wolf 424. These are becoming more and more increasing, as workers demand to have better pay and housing. Many people acorss all corporate owned systems flee to non corporate systems. Other mercenary groups are formed to counter the threat.

2449- The Corporation Colonial Stars asks for help to put down the insurrectionist movements in the corporate owned systems. The SDC and Navy are called into service for the very first time in it's existance. The Army is not called into service due to public support aganist it.

2451- The Alpha Proxima star system comes under control of the terrorist organization Erika's Treachary, named after the head president's promise of a better living condition that did not follow suit.

2452- Alpha Proxima's two warp points are blockaded by the Republican Navy and the Colonial Stars mercenary navy. An invasion of the planet Karrus begins.

2453- SDC forces reenforce war weary mercenaries on the planet Trio in the Wolf 424 system.

2459- Insurrectionists in Wolf 424 surrender, the Republican Fleet and SDC leave. A terrorist attack at an orbital ore refinary on Hesperus in the Marathon system occurs. 79 people are killed and the terrorist starship is destroyed. Public opinion pressures the Army to intervene.

2461- The Senate allows the Army to begin to quell the insurrection. Operations begin on the planet of Karrus. The Navy and Army along with private mercenary groups begin to seize control of the Epsilon Erandi star system

2463- The Karrus insurrectionist movement surrenders, only the insurrectionists on ShoreridgeIII remain. The Army continues it's operations on the planet.

2465- The Army crushes the insurrectionists on Shoreridge III.

2471- The Insurrection is declared by the government to be finally over.

Reconstruction

2474- Multiple corporations are either suffering financially from the long guerilla war or have now gone bankrupt and sold their shares on the market. Many corporations fold or are bought out by rivals. The worlds that were fought on have suffered catrosophic damage in manpower. The economy goes into a recession

2478- The government begins to survey new star systems. A handful of Republican Judges debate whether to allow corporations to colonize new planets so the economy might help pick up. The court rules that the corporations that wish to go to and colonize new worlds may do so.

2479- The system of Remuls is discovered by the Vuilx corporation through the help of the United Colonal Navy. The planet of Rohan is given to Vulix. Vulix quickly colonizes the planet and begins to construct it's heavy machinary factories on the planet. Vuilx chooses not to terraform the planet as it'd be too expensive.

2483- The corporation of Vulix buys out Colonial Stars now maintaining the largest private commercial and military fleet. The Drop Pod is invented by Angelia Makliz. The SDC quickly buys the patent for it. The systems of New Prouge and Sarasota are discovered. The systems are settled by the Halifax and Ubez Mining corporations.

2489- Vulix charges all shipping coming or going from it's system. Their own starships are not charged. Ubez begins to construct multiple towns and cities on Mordia in the Sarasota system due to rich elements being found.

2491- The Halifax corporation begins to construct it's own private military. Halifax while a medical corporation wishes to control Remuls because of it's strategic capital posistion.

2495- The economy begins to recover slowly. The UCN leases bases from the Ubez corporation to help construct new ships.

2499- Halifax continues to build it's private army. Many shareholders express concern over why a medical company would have to do this. The corporation Iron Hand settles on Hyarkin for agicutural purposes. They specialize in farming equipment that is used for all the worlds.

26th Century- The Corporate Wars


2504- The United Colonial Navy begins construction on Luna. A large ring going around the entire moon is meant to be the main port for the entire navy. It is supposed to house at least a million or more people at any given time. The government allows the navy to purchase Luna wholesale. Luna is converted from a civilian colony to a permanent military base.

2505- The systems of Justin and Merriwater are discovered. Halifax and Iron Fist settle Merriwater. Justin is settled by a extreme christan cult.

2507- Justin becomes isolated as the extremist group wishes to abandon the outside world. The planet Thallus in the Justin system becomes a haven for other extremist cults. Multiple villages are built on the world. Halifax is cut off from it's new colony due to the system of Justin not allowing anyone else other the cultists through the system

2510- The company Vulix invades the Justin system, intending to destroy the religious colony and cut off the Merriwater system. Many colonists are killed and since the colonists abandoned most forms of technology it becomes a very easy cover up.

2511- A new corporation known as Hirue settles the newly discovered system of Seldon. Hadamarad is quickly colonized by Hirue which specializes in producing weapons. Halifax approaches Hirue with a deal to work together.

2515- The colony on Thallus in Justin is hit with a biochemical weapon from Halifax. It manages to kill of 40 percent of the population on Thallus. Vulix stock goes down.

2517- Vulix launches a suprise invasion of the New Progue system. The planet of Hyarkin is invaded by Vulix mercenaries. Halifax unleasehes the same bio weapon it did on Justin. Hyarkin is almost overrun by Vulix mercenaries. The corporation of Hirue sends a relief force to Hyarkin to help increase security.

2518- Hyarkin and Halifax announce a partnership to defend their business intersts, this includes the systems of Hirue systems Seldon and Halifax systems New Progue, Justin. Vulix suffering from the recent defeat of it's own forces signs a treaty with Halifax and Hirue. The treaty establishes who will control what star systems. Merriwater turned over to Iron Fist corporation.

2523- The military completes the port on Luna. A large ring now encircles the entire moon, and becomes the home port for the entire United Colonial Navy. Vulix slowly rebuilds the military that it once had.

2526- A new corporation called The Whisper a company specializing in corporate spying is created. It's handed a contract by Vulix to help find a weakness in the corporations of Halifax and Hirue. The government dispatches the RIA to find out why multiple corporations are fighting one another

2528- Four nuclear bombs are detonated on Hadamard, no group or company takes the credit. Hirue's stock plummets, as more than 2 million people are killed. The Whisper discovers that Halifax was making another bio weapon. Vulix then orders it's military into stand by.

2529- Vulix once again invades New Prague, this time instead of sending troops down to the planet, orbital nuclear missiles are launched. 15 million alost 90% people are killed on the planet. At the same time, Vulix mercenaries invade the systems of Justin and Merriwater.

2530- The systems of Justin and Merriwater hold out, with the help of mercenaries for Hirue. The RIA figure out that local insurgents set off the nuclear weapons on Hadamard. Vulix renforces the systems

2531- Vulix controls the systems of Merriwater and Justin. Halifax goes bankrupt. The corporation of Hirue asks for a truce. Vulix agrees on the condition that the system of Seldon is under it's control.

2532- Vulix now owns the systems of: Remuls, New Prague, Merriwater, Justin, Sarasota and Seldon. It becomes one of the most powerful corporations to influence the UCR government and has representation in the Council. The inner colonies are no longer ruled by any corporation. The government decides that if a corporation wishes to have it's own star system then it'd be better off in the outer colonies. This is to try and decrease violence on the inner colonies which are still rebuilding from the Great Insurrection.

2533- The UCN discovers the systems of Erebor and Golan. The corporation Golden Archer quickly buys the rights to those systems. Vulix will drop commerce charges. New corporations settle in the Vulix owned systems: The mercenary companies: Claw&Talon, Dialui, New Heart, Great Blackness all set up offices in the systems. Vulix eases control over it's systems.

2536- Golden Archer a mining corporation from Earth begins to colonize the Erebor and Golan star systems. The colonies start out not in a good position. Of the 2000 colonists sent to Lapovok in the Golan system, only 545 survive due to the extreme cold.

2538- The colony on Zephyr in the Erebor system discovers underground deposits of gas called Litsum. Litsum was discovered in 2456 and had been used for supplying fuel for starships. The colony on Zephyr explodes with more colonists. Golden Archer decides to turn over Lapovok over to Vulix.

2540- Vulix uses Lapovok as a military base for it’s mercenaries and the other mercenary corporations. The UCR Senate passes a new law that dictates how many people can be in a mercenary company.

2541- By order of the Senate, the UCN stops looking for new planets to colonize , however private militaries can still explore as they wish, if they get the correct permit.

2589- The UCN creates the first plasma based weapon.

2598- Vulix is accused of misfiling tax reports and keeping profits for itself. Vulix accuses the government of a witch hunt.

The Republican Civil War. Also known as The Great Corporation War, The War of Greed, The Guild War, The Profit War or The Republican Crisis

2596- The Council passes the Colonial Administration Tax law. This law targets company owned star systems that have enormous profit. The Outer Colonies have riots due to this law being passed. The law is quickly is repealed.
2597- A major audit is ordered of corporations that own their own star systems it takes more than a year. The company Vulix announces the Fringe Colonial Trade Organization. This group is a political and trade organization of all the companies within the Outer Colonies.

2598- Vulix is accused of misfiling tax reports and keeping profits for itself. Vulix accuses the government of a witch hunt. The FCTO announces it will cease all payments to the government after multiple corporations are found to of misfiled, misled documents stating how much of a profit was made. The UCR government only announces protests. The stock market takes a dive upon hearing of the scandals. Many corporations also owe back taxes, furthering the crisis.

2599- The FCTO announces the formation of a new star nation The Guild Systems of Freedom and hereby secedes from the UCR on January 6 of 2599. The naval facilities in the Sarasota and Seldon Systems pledge allegiance to the FCTO, as well as most of the UCR military in the outer colonies. The UCR’s naval facilities in the Marathon star system are destroyed via undercover operatives on February 5. Ship yards and multiple starships either there for refit or repair are destroyed. On February 20, the UCN stops similar attacks on naval bases at Luna in the Solar System, Arcturus in the Alpha Centurari system, Ravenette in the Sandhurst system and Zanabar in the Redwing system. With these attacks the UCR calls for a draft. The Senate pass a resolution for war after the saboteurs confess the Outer Colonies wish to secede. In April, the GSF mobilizes its own military, concentrating most naval and land forces in the Remuls star system. The GSF military has a total of five fleets while the UCR’s military had eight fleets but due to saboteurs now only have six fleets.

On June 5, the one GSF Fleet enters the South Draconis system a battle ensues from June 6 to June 8. The South Draconian navy is easily crushed by the larger GSF fleet. The South Draconian Navy before being defeated sent messages to the systems of Alpha Proxmia and Swaziland telling of the incursion. The GSF landing forces begin to invade the planet of Gorbi focusing on industrial areas. The Republican Army, SDC and Gorbi military defend the multiple sites. July 2 the near by UCN fleet prepares to enter the South Draconis system. The GSF on July 8 launches a invasion in the Shaka system with three fleets. The Republican Navy however is in the system with two fleets. From July 8 to July 11 the battle for the Shaka system rages, however the GSF fleet is not able to capitalize on the surprise attack and are kicked out of the system. The Republican Fleet does not persue due to massive losses. On August 17, the Republican Fleet now reinforced with two other fleets enters the South Draconis system. On August 19 the GSF fleets head towards the outer system of South Draconis to counter attack. The Republican Fleets better trained ensue battle on August 20 until August 22. One GSF fleet is annihilated while the other is forced to leave the system due to heavy losses.The GSF landing forces on Gorbi are only able to take one major continent and are not able to gain anymore ground due to local guerilla fighters as well as the Republican military and Gorbi military. The Republican forces on Gorbi launch a large counter attack on the continent . August 30 the Republican Fleets enter orbit around Gorbi and land reinforcements as well as supporting the counter offensive. On September 28, the land forces of the GSF surrender to the Republican forces.

On October 14 the central government of the GSF issue a mandatory draft of every person between the ages of 18 to 65, as well as issue new projects such as building naval facilities and bases in the Justin and Sarasota Systems. Two Republican Fleets on November 3, attack the Remuls system and engage with Three GSF fleets . The battle ends on November 5 with both sides heavily damaged, the Republican fleets leave the system but inflict heavy losses on orbital facilities within the system. One GSF fleet has to be disbanded due to the massive damage of ships.


27th Century- Republican Civil War Continued
2600- On January 8, mass protests against the war break out in the cities of Lutenville, Haroldsburg and Camen on Hod. Citizens are demanding that the war end, due to an increase of the military presence. The city of Haroldsburg on Janurary 10 meets the protestors with armored police and it becomes a riot with thirteen protesters dead and seven of them injured. Citizens are told by the president on Hod that the war will end soon. Protests continue planet wide but are not as violent as January 10

On March 24, The UCN commissions two new fleets and the GSF constructs one fleet. On April 2 the GSF launches a invasion of the Shaka system with two fleets and on April 4 enter battle with two Republican fleets stationed there. The fleets engage on the outer system however one GSF fleet is able to get past the Republican fleets and on April 9 enter orbit of the planet Tokyo. The GSF landing force manages to get a small beach head on the main continent of Oaku. They are met with heavy resistance from the Republican Army and SDC. On April 12 the GSF fleet in the outer system is destroyed completely and the one in orbit of Tokyo then try to evacuate the GSF landing forces. April 17 the GSF ground forces that are able to evacuate do to the one GSF fleet in orbit. The GSF fleet heads to the outer system on April 18 but are unable to due to the two Republican fleets. The fleet is annihilated with GSF 12 starships captured.

July 18, Two Republican fleets invade the Remuls system and encounter one GSF fleet that is significantly outnumbered. The GSF fleet on July 20 leaves the system for New Prauge. The SDC establish a beachhead on July 22 on Rohan. On December 1, the Republican Army advances on the largest city on Rohan, New Medina and begin a siege.


2601- On Janurary 14, The newest GSF Fleet enter the Remuls star system from the New Prauge system. The UCN now has the upper hand and during the absence of the GSF fleets constructed new orbital forts near the wormhole New Prauge. The Orbital Forts while taking damage are able to hold their own while one of the two UCN fleets in the system engage the incoming GSF fleet. The battle is a disaster and by January 15, only a fraction of the GSF fleet left either leaves or surrenders. By February 1, the UCN sends three more fleets to the system and prepares a new offensive into the GSF held systems.

On March 2 the GSF sends in a fleet again from New Prague. The fleet is repelled at the wormhole and destroyed entirely by the Orbital Forts and the UCN fleets. New Medina surrenders to the Republican Army on March 24. More GSF ground forces surrender in the following days and by April 6, the planet is fully under control of the Republican Army. The UCN launches a invasion of the New Prague system with four fleets on June 10. The system has little defenders and the planet of Hyarkin is invaded by the SDC on June 16. Resistance on the planet is heavier then expected. The UCN invades the Merriwater system with one fleet and the Sarasota system with three June 14. Merriwater also has little defenses and the governor in charge of the system and the president of Rahdron surrenders with many GSF ground troops no longer supporting the rebellion.

Sarasota however is heavily defended and at the wormhole there are a massive number of forts. It is here that two GSF fleets and UCN has three. The battle for the outer system is heavy in causalities on both sides but the UCN prevails. The forts are eventually beaten down and by June 15 the remaining GSF fleet flees to the inner system. The Two remaining UCN fleets advance towards the planet Mordia and along the way destroy mining platforms, refueling stations, ammunition depots. On July 20, the UCN fleets enter combat in the orbit of Mordia. The stations above the planet and space docks are heavily guarded. The GSF fleets on July 22, are destroyed in heavy fighting. The SDC take control of some stations on July 22, but the space docks cannot be recovered and are destroyed by the people on them. The remaining stations are destroyed either by the people inside them or the UCN fleets. Mordia is invaded on July 30 by the SDC.

On Hyarkin, the Republican Army begins to take control of vital cities in the month of July. In the Golan system on August 4, the citizens on Lapovok rise up against the GSF government. They stage massive protests, disrupting operations of space ports, military convoys and other government buildings. On August 7, The local president orders the GSF troops to shoot protestors on site. Many GSF troops join the citizens and refuse to kill their own citizens and on August 12, take power from the president with her being killed taking her own life. On August 13, citizens declare a new government and state that they are citizens of the UCR.

On September 3, a GSF fleet invades the Golan system. The local GSF fleet in Golan declares they are on the side of the citizens of Lapovok . The two fleets engage on September 7 in the orbit of Lapovok which sees the pro Lapovok fleet winning the battle. The GSF fleet is forced to disengage on September 8 and leaves the system on September 13. On Hadamarad the GSF government on October 8 faces a coup by the ground forces who take control of the airwaves. The coup almost succeeds but fails due to the GSF navy launching a nuclear bombardment upon its own citizens in other cities on the planet. The GSF ground forces call off the coup with the generals committing suicide rather than face trial. By December 5, the planet of Hyarkin falls to the Republican Army.

2602- On January 23,in the city of Colline, Mars GSF undercover operatives destroy the Wells dome taking out various sections. The action kills an estimated one hundred and fifty thousand of a city of three million. Many of the people killed were average citizens, the city had no major military infrastructure. On January 24, sections of three orbital stations in Venus orbit are destroyed. Five hundred and seventy people die, the stations were relaxation resorts. Also on January 24, the SDC base Disrali is infiltrated by undercover operatives of the GSF. They destroy the oxygen plant, recycling facilities, the main power grid and communications system. The act kills an estimated seven hundred and seventeen members of SDC and Naval personnel.

On March 5, one UCN fleet enters the Justin system and are met with forts that are abandoned. As the fleet passes through the fleets, they simultaneously explode, destroying five battleships, three transports and damaging four cruisers, two battleships. The fleet then continues onwards leaving a few units behind to guard the wormhole as search and rescue teams are sent to find survivors. On March 9, the fleet enters the orbit of Thallus and find light resistance from what is left of the GSF fleet, with most units so badly damaged they are beyond repair. The battle is short and by March 10, the UCN fleet is in control of the orbit of Thallus. The SDC invade on March 11.

On March 12, the GSF navy sends a fleet into Sarasota and is met with heavy resistance from the UCN fleet stationed. The GSF fleet takes heavy damage and is forced to retreat the same day. On March 15, the GSF fleet stationed in Hancock invades the Golan system. The local GSF fleets in Golan constructed some more starships and have also begun to construct forts at both wormholes. The forts are off line and are destroyed by the invading GSF fleet from Hancock coming through the Hancock wormhole. The smaller fleet in Golan refuses battle for days. The GSF fleet from Hancock enters orbit of Lapovok on March 22 and destroys local orbital facilities while simultaneously launching GSF ground forces to the planet.

On April 2, another coup is launched against the government within the GSF. The rebellion is known as “The Orange Sunset” Elements within the government have gotten support from local GSF ground forces and have some support with the navy. The people planning the coup are within the government itself, members of the far right who see the war as lost. The GSF loyalist forces to the government in Seldon battle with the insurrectionists who begin the coup by having insurrectionist forces within the main governmental building attacking a large meeting of the government loyalists. The government loyalists are all killed in a tense shoot out who only have a small security detail. After this other insurrectionists within the military especially the ground forces begin to quickly secure their own bases and other important infrastructure.

The local airwaves are again hijacked urging citizens to rise up. The loyalist government forces in the city battle in the streets with citizens who march in the streets, killing them. Insurrectionist troops battle the loyalist troops. Units within the navy who are loyal to the government immediately go to battle stations. Units in the navy that are with the uprising begin to fire on the loyalist starships. The loyalists are greater in number than the ones who join the rebellion. The naval space station Alain Poher is destroyed in the firefight. The debris fall down onto Hadamarad although most is destroyed by the orbital defenses.

One section lands 50 miles away from the Capital City killing an estimated 2,000 people, with the others falling much farther away. The blast sends up a large bright explosion for ten seconds that can be seen by all around. Other loyalist forces from the surrounding counties of the capital city begin to close in. The insurrectionist troops secure the main governmental building, main space port for the city, the main military complex and the war department.

The remaining members of the government surrender to the insurrectionists. The fleet loyal to the government destroys the rebelling units. Loyalist government forces begin to enter the city but they are met with moderate resistance. It is not until the loyalist fleet sends down its own contingent of GSF forces that the insurrection is crushed. The space port is destroyed by the insurrectionists . The insurrection is brutally put down by April 3. Most members of the government are dead so only a few remain, with the remaining placing the city under permanent lock down and placing within the GSF forces political officers to ensure loyalty. Members of the government and military who were part of the coup are killed without a trial.

July 13, three fleets UCN enter the Seldon System, and two UCN fleets enter the Indra System. The Indra System which was expected to be heavily defended is found to be lighter then expected and on July 20 the UCN fleets in Indra battle the one GSF Fleet. The fleet is easily destroyed with the UCN fleets easily taking the system totally by July 22. In the Seldon system the remnants of the two GSF fleets engage the UCN fleets in Seldon. The battle is again easily won by the UCN with the GSF having political officers overriding military objections. By July 21 the system is under UCN control and the invasion of Hadamarad begins. Novgrod in Indra is invaded on July 23.

On December 23, admist heavy fighting the GSF government on Hadamarad surrenders. Most of the members of the GSF government are taken prisoners with four high level politicians in the GSF going underground. The remaining garrisons in the other GSF systems surrender and by January 16 the Guild Systems of Freedom cease to exist.

2603- The Senate, Council and Republican Judges all meet in London, Earth on July 21 and try to come up with a solution to solve the problem of private corporations that might take advantage of colonial systems. The war has killed over 145 million on both sides including civilians. The star nation of the UCR is also having to send relief funds to the other colonies where a majority of the war took place and give governmental assistance. Many politicians especially those in the Council want to have the government run everything including the private sector. The Judges argue that it is unconstitutional for the government to intrude into private lives of the citizens. A heated debate rages on for months with some supporting a proposal to create a large corporation. The proposal is not taken lightly as many worry that the company would still be able to have its own military. Another proposal wishes to only have a certain number of companies for the private sector that is regulated heavily and kept in line by the government.

On November 3, a vote is given to both proposals. The proposal about one large privately owned corporation is the most popular. Once the proposal is voted on again debate rages on how it would operate and who would own the new corporation. Originally the mega corporation is called “Sol Corporation” but many politicians from the Outer Colonies are furious about the name. The name is again changed this time it is called Human Corporation. Human Corporation would be a highly controlled company that would have its board members screened by the government with very tight regulations.

2604-On January 5, Human Corporation is created and is headquartered on Mars, Wells.
