Name: Lillian Rose Parker
Rank: Private First Class
Assignment: Demolition Expert
Section: 1st Squad, 3rd Fireteam
Age: 19 years
Height: 5'3"
Weight: 125 lbs
Years of Service: 1 year
Injuries Received in the line of Duty: N/A
Character's Kit: M1 Personal Defense Weapon, M68C9 Assault Rifle, M2 Smart Grenades, ZX5 Mines, A21 Tactical "Marauder" Armor
Frame: Lilli is anything but imposing. Short, thin and with a head full of fiery red hair, she's not exactly what one expects to see when the armor comes off. From appearance, she is the complete opposite of a military trained woman - and she likes it that way. Her mother was an officer and made certain that her daughter understood that just because one serves in the "boys club" doesn't mean she should have to sacrifice her femininity.
Bright green eyes are framed in an oval face with soft features and porcelain skin. Most of her thin frame in unmarred by time or scars and she has accepted the fact that this will surely change. She isn't anywhere near obsessed with her appearance, but she takes into consideration regardless - if only for herself.
Personality: Lillian is head-strong, stubborn and can be quite the pain in the ass. She doesn't mean to be, but her parents raised an independent and self-sufficient daughter and she has a habit of liking things done her way. Of course, this caused issues with her initial training and Lilli quickly learned to quell her need for control. Under the surface of military discipline and molding, she's a fierce woman who isn't afraid to go after what she wants. She sees nothing as being out of reach and it makes her determined and focused.
The woman in Lillian is a true romantic. She just can't escape it. She grew up watching her parents and although they had tough times, they loved each other deeply. Lillian only hopes for the same for herself. Her focus may be her military career and the mission ahead, but the woman in the armor is just a woman nonetheless. Yet, there is dark side to this woman as well. Tragedy hit her hard at a young age and it haunts her even now. It's that sort of emptiness that nothing can mend and when Lillian isn't busy or focused, she can appear sad or distant.
History: Lillian Rose Parker was born to Ryan and Anya Parker on Mars. She was adored by both her parents long before her birth and became the sole focus within the small family. Her mother, a military officer, had served her time and earned a peaceful existence without the constant coming and goings of most military personnel. Ryan Parker was an engineer and spent years working on improving the very armor commissioned by numerous military departments as an employee of Human Corporation. Life was simple for the Parkers.
Yet, as with most things, when it's going good, it will inevitably turn towards a downward spiral. At fifteen, Lilli's parents died tragically in a vehicle accident. It was a shock to the teen and so devastating that the bright an cheery girl turned inwards on herself. Her anger and frustration were manifestations of a sadness that consumed her. She was taken in my an Aunt and although she did everything she could to help the girl, Lillian would have nothing to do with it. In response to losing her greatest support system, she became almost obsessed with control. She needed to be able to determine the outcome of everything, without that, she's become flustered and overwhelmed. Her teachers only saw the leadership potential in her and not the negative reasons as to why she was even like that to begin with.
In the end, it would be military service that would save her. Following in her mother's footsteps was the only logical decision she could make regarding her future. Yet, Lillian had failed to go the officer route, it didn't matter much to her what she did or where she was. The structure and military community reminded her of her childhood and her parents - she needed it. She enlisted as soon as she could, without ever saying anything to her Aunt and practically split without a word. Her Aunt cornered her while she was attempted to pack a bag to leave and then Lilli was forced to spill the beans about her decision. It didn't go over well, but there wasn't much to be don since she'd already signed away her life - happily.
Basic training was east for Lillian. Of course, she stood out like a sore thumb but she proved herself and upon completion was commended for her efforts and abilities. She went on to complete Demolition training. It wasn't the first choice, but it had been a needed position and Lilli hardly cared where she went or what she did. Once again, she made it through with flying colors. All her training proved to be more or less easy and she loved every second of it. When she found out she was to be assigned to the 32nd, Lilli knew right away what sort of honor that was. Ready to take on whatever was thrown at her, Lillian Parker had a new focus and a new family.
Sample Roleplay:
Lillian hadn't planned anything.
She'd been too focused on simple going day to day to remember that she was supposed to be making plans for her future. That thought terrified her. The past was so awful, why would the future be any better. But, one night, it hit her hard - enlist. She could follow in her mother's footsteps, make her parents proud even though they'd never be able to to witness it. A commission was out of the question. She'd skated by in school just enough to not stay there longer than necessary, but hadn't done well enough to be an Officer. Another way that she'd let her mother down.
Lilli did that constantly; keeping tabs of how many times she'd fucked up or done something right. It was an internal gauge of whether her parents would be proud or disappointed. One more way Lillian could stay in control.
She was shoving clothes in her backpack without notice of what she was even grabbing. Getting out of the house unnoticed was the point. Lilli had never told her Aunt what she was doing and she was sure that enlisting had been one of the no-go's. Her Aunt Fay was a wonderful woman, but she was driven by her sympathy and Lilli was sick of people being sorry for her.
"LILLIAN PARKER! Where you have you been?!" The woman's voice was laced with worry more than anger and Lilli found herself rolling her eyes. "I haven't seen you in three days and now your going to disappear again, aren't you?!"
Lilli didn't say anything. She didn't pause in her packing, or look up. When she zipped the bag shut, she shoved past the older woman - silent.
"Don't you ignore me, young lady!"
Lillian stopped in her tracks at the top of the stairs. "Or what?" She replied, still not looking at her Aunt. This was easier, stay irritated, leave angry and there will be no need to go back. "You don't have to watch over me anymore. Just... don't worry about me anymore." Lilli was sad though, always sad. Resilient and headstrong, she was a dozen different emotions at all times and it was one of the few things she felt she had no control over.
"Where are you going, Lilli? Something is wrong, isn't it? Let's talk. Let me help."
The girl shook her head. "I'm leaving. I enlisted and I..."
"YOU WHAT? Why in the universe would you do something so stupid and thoughtless!? You could get yourself killed and then what? Why are you throwing away ever-"
Lillian left her Aunt yelling in the front door. She never looked back and she never regretted it. The older woman's angry made it easy to keep walking.
The next few months would be the beginning of a lifetime.
