Because he has just gotten out of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training Alex is in a thin stage. He has enough muscle to carry his weight around but don't expect him to win the next iron man competition. He is quick and agile on his feet compliments of his long runner's legs. He has green eyes and hazel hair that is cut in a medium military fade.
Personality:
Alex grew up wanting to become a doctor. He always wanted to be the one that everyone clapped on the back and hugged after he got out of a successful surgery. While in basic he was a natural leader, taking charge of his training platoon and getting things done; however, that was easy for him only because he knew that this was all new to everyone else there. In his new unit he will most likely be reserved at first not wanting to fail or mess up. When he fails to do a task, even the smallest there is, he beats himself up over it because in his profession he feels he needs to be better than anyone else. Not out of spite or because he thinks hes above anyone, he is the furthest from being a narcissist. He does; however, think that medics NEED to be better than everyone else because while everyone is fighting trying to keep their brothers and sisters from being shot, he is plugging up the wound and fixing someone who has been shot. Who will die if he doesn't do anything. At least Alex is strong willed enough to see that even though someones life is in his hands while he operates, if he panics they will surely die. His father told him before he left for basic to make as many friends as possible...whether that will work out is another story but he will sure damn try.
History:
Alex was born June 30th on the planet Zanabar in the Redwing System to John and Anne Huxley. John Huxley was a radio operator in the army stationed on Zanabar when he impregnated Anne who was working as a Nurse at the on base hospital at the time. As Alex grew up he would go to the hospital with his mother because they couldn’t afford a baby sitter and that is when he was first introduced to the wonders of being a doctor. He would watch his mom clean up and move on from patient to patient, giving her all to make them comfortable and help them through whatever they were going through. It was some of the best memories he held within his mind especially since his home life wasn’t good.
When he turned thirteen the news came that his older brother Cameron had died while serving in the army off world. Up until that point Alex had always talked about following in his father’s and brother’s footsteps and join the military in some form but after that horrible, rainy day the thought escaped him. His mother never recovered and shortly after Alex made it into medical school at the age of eighteen his mother succumbed to grief and hung herself in a hospital utility closet. Shortly after his mother’s death his father retired from the military after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Nothing really seemed to hold Alex back anymore from joining the Military. He refused to join when his mother was alive because of what happened to Cameron. He refused to join while his father was active because he forbid the action entirely. But now that his father was on his death bed he felt like he just needed to get away. At nineteen years old he wanted to get out and explore the universe. Nothing was left on Zanabar even though he completed medical school at top of the class.
So to basic training he went after enlisting as a combat medic within the Expeditionary Corps. There he shown brightly as a leader within his training platoon and finished off with the highest marks in the class for shooting and leadership skills. After he left the training world he went back to Zanabar which he despised. He wanted to get away from his past life not go back to it. But it was a must because the Advanced Individual Training for Corpsman school was there. At the completion of that nine month course he graduated with an Honor Grad award and ribbon along with the promotion to Private First Class for being the Honor Grad. Thankfully with that comes the privilege of being awarded the availability to select your first duty station and he began researching. He came upon the 32nd Brotherhood, one of the most hallowed and sacred units of the Expeditionary Forces. He wanted to be with the best so he went home one last time after turning in his paperwork to tell his father what his plans were. His father smiled and told him that he was very proud of Alex for everything that he accomplished and gave him the advice to “Stay Low and Always make Friends wherever you go” Shortly after their meeting he passed away.
Sample Roleplay: I have posted on her ebefore with my other character Ted Manning. Is this necessary still?
