She cut fifteen percent of the Republican Army’s budget, she cut thirty percent of the naval budget and she cut ten percent of the Drop Corp’s budget."

The Camera then goes back to Travis Knolls. “Welcome back to Colonial Issues we’re here with our five guests. We started out with a discussion on the economic issues but is the military responsiable for the economic downturn as well? We ask Councilwoman Agáta Sedlak.”
“Thank you travis. No, why should we cut the military any further? For the past four years and especially last year the military has made substancial cuts especially to the Special Drop Corps. We all understand we need a military but ours has become so vast that it’s becoming a blackhole for credits. I don’t think we should cut anymore of the military. In fact what we should be doing is cutting the military of Human Corporation, Special Security. Travis did you know there is no quota on how many servicemen or women in the S.S.? They can have a larger military if they wish. The money spent on the S.S. is out ragous. Last yea it’s budget was Fourteen trillion. The government doesn’t have that big of a budget for the military. We only spend about on average Four hundred billion in four years? No we’ve asked the U.C.H.D. enough, we shouldn’t have to cut anymore. And according to our current projections the military will shrink within the next decade…assuming of course the ARM is dealt with.” She then ended her statement.
Senator Samara then spoke up. “ I am one glad that we have a strong military. But what if we continue to cut the military? Do you think the Anonymous Resistance Movement will just roll up and die? We all remember the four bombs in Wells, Mars that killed the local mayor and the city council as well as high ranking members of Special Security’s Special Investigation and Information building within a secured area. Again over and over the records from Human Corpoation are either in complete or lost. All the government knows is that he went rouge. No reason was given by the Army who looked into his background. We do know his wife died while on the fringe of human space when her starship was declared missing and since then has been presumed dead."

We all remember the four bombs in Wells, Mars that killed the local mayor and the city council as well as high ranking members of Special Security’s Special Investigation and Information building within a secured area. The attack killed over one hundred and fourteen people, wounded around one hundred and four. General Sneer and his radical terrorists will never stop in their crusade to bring the government down.”
She said and her eyes looked very fired up. “That was in 3357, May 9. Your telling me you want to cut the military more? No that is just an idea that won’t be accepted. We’ve already made the cuts to the military and we don’t need to. The navy has already halted the construction of any new ships and are just finishing the ones that were over fifty percent completed. We’ve had to cut back on our payment to the Army and the Drop Corps. People will only be half paid of what they are owed. Once the recession is over then we can get our payment back to what it was before these cuts. The ARM will come back. Yes we’re striking at Sisyphus and we won’t know what’s happened there till November earliest. But General Sneer has an agenda, that is to destroy Human Corporation.” She said and then sat back.
“Oh please do you honestly believe he doesn’t want to overthrow the government and install some sort of militaristic government?” Senator Yeun said. “No he wants to destroy the Republic and Human Corporation. But can anyone tell me- Why are we fighting the ARM? Speaker Pavel has tried over and over to get the information on why General Sneer of the 13th Republican Army went rouge. Again over and over the records from Human Corpoation are either in complete or lost. All the government knows is that he went rouge. No reason was given by the Army who looked into his background. We do know his wife died while on the fringe of human space when her starship was declared missing and since then has been presumed dead."
"To have someone snap that much is just…unimaginable! We all understand if we’ve lost love ones but….to take up arms against your own government because of personal grief is just….inconceivable. We can only guess at his reasons and because of bad record keeping we shall never know. What we do know is that the ARM usually targets some sort of building associated with the S.S. or financial institutions near an S.S. base. He’s focused on the S.S. it’s just that the Army and SDC have done most of the fighting, since they are better at guerilla warfare than the S.S. which is more conventional.” She said.
As the camera then zoomed out someone was heard off the screen of the camera. “Tell us what was found at the Mars site!” The camera then turned around to show a man in the audience had gotten riled up apparently. “Tell us about why the SS hasn’t told the Republic about the site. What was found?!” he continued to yell when he was then grabbed by two strong body guards and carried away while he screamed “Is it a secret weapon?! Some new technology!? What are you keeping from us?!” he shouted and was finally taken out of the room. The camera then went on to turn to Travis who smiled. “Sorry about that folks, and it actually looks like we’re out of time for today. This has been Travis Knolls reporting.”
