Normally when the sleepless nights hit, Stephanie just laid in the bed and stared at the ceiling. That was not the case right now, she got up out of her bunk and traveled out of her assigned bunk and banged on the door. She was not quite sure why she was banging on the door. It was the middle of the night, she was still not sure that Hobbar wasn't going to chew her out for this but it was whatever at this point.
Amberson was not there to admit she needed to talk, she was there because if she wandered any other part of the Dauntless they were going to call Hobbar for her behavior. It really was a wonder that she was not in the brig yet, at this rate she was shaping up. There was a pale look about her face, it was as though she had seen a ghost. Right, it was just a dream and she just needed to explain that she was going to be up most of the night, so that when she missed her appointment in the morning no one would say anything? Well that was her line of thought anyway.

Hobbar was fast asleep, the entire day had been an exhausting one since Silva managed to completely screw up with the virtual simulation room by pressing a few keys. It took four hours to get the place back up and running properly, the room was frozen in time during a battle that had been set up and would not respond to Silva's command keys to shut down. Hobbar along with naval techs had to reboot the entire system, needless to say while upset at Silva it wasn't as if the problem was not resolved. He yelled at Silva for that and Silva apologized.
When the day was almost done he went to his personal cabin to finish the combat reports that Captain Jones had requested yesterday. He wanted rewrite of what occurred with the Special Security platoon that they'd help rescue from a ARM ambush. He finished the report at 1234 hours with only his personal computer on. Franks on the other hand was sleeping away behind him. Eventually however he'd finally gotten to bed at 0112 and had maybe forty five minutes of sleep before someone pounded on the door. It banged very loud. "Who the hell is that!." Franks said. "Calm down, man. I'll see who it is. " he said and quickly put on a T shirt and long green pants. Walking to the door he opened it up. It was Amberson and she looked white as a ghost. What was going on. "Amberson, what's the matter." he asked. "Dude close the door!" Franks yelled. "Go to hell!" Hobbar yelled back before shutting the door. "Sorry about that. What happened, you look like you've seen a ghost."

The woman looked towards Hobbar as he spoke and she felt like she was in a position that would keep her from speaking her mind. She cringed as she heard Franks yelling. Stephanie was NOT the type to apologize, so Franks was just going to have to get over it. "I um.. we need to talk" Stephanie asking to talk was relatively rare and it was something that there was nothing no one could really do anything about. She glanced up slightly at Hobbar and she wasn't really sure how to say what she wanted to say.
The woman just put her head down and sighed. Everything right now seemed like it was in slow motion and that was never a good thing in her mind. Was she starting to trust him? She wasn't really sure. Well maybe on some level, she knew nothing was going to happen if she did confide in him. She sat there just looking at him, she pointed down the hallway.. they did not need to disturb Frank anymore than they already had. She was fairly certain she was not going to fair well with the other officer when they met in the hall. Let her pray that didn't happen soon.

Amberson was acting very strange...scratch that she wasn't your normal woman but something about her was off. Hobbar saw that something was troubling her. Did a doctor do something to her that made her feel uncomfortable? If that was the case then he'd have to report it to his higher ups. But..what if she was going to open up to him. He doubted that would happen this fast. When she looked up at him, he felt strange and did not know how to react. She was always a hard ass, hell yesterday he couldn't get her to open up about anything. But then again would he ever open up to her?
If she asked him about his childhood wouldn't he also isolate himself inside his own mind, to protect it. Hobbar pushed that thought to the back of his mind as she got up and nodded towards the hallway. He didn't like that and shook his head. "I think I know a better place for both of us. There's no one in it right now even though people can go in it any time they wish. Come on." he said and started to walk down her direction, since it was that way anyways.
