Pods could be seen coming into the atmosphere for miles away. Down in the war torn town, the two forces continued to fight. The Army had actually lost two blocks that had been previously secured but the ARM's infantry had been too many at the moment and they were forced to pull back. The only good thing about this fight was that ARM didn't have any vehicles in this town, except civilian cars...that were used as home made bombs. Soldiers who had secured a street the last night would have one explode killing multiples. The civilians as if there were any had taken refuge outside of the town where the ARM had set up bases to help ward off this one final assault from the UCHD.
The landing zone where Kilo Company was supposed to land was a field that had no cover what so ever and if the enemy was out there..it'd be a massacre. The field most likely didn't have any people on this side of the town since they were mostly over by the water front fighting the Army. The weather was actually calm in this area, no storm or snow at all. It was still extremely cold though but visibility was excellent. The pods soon began to land and they made an enormous sound as they landed. Hobbar's pod landed with a loud thump and the door bolted off flying onto the ground. He got into the ground and looked around for the rest of the company. He spotted them on his HUD, most of the green dots were heading towards the town. "Silva...where are you." he said and got a quick response from a flashing green dot on his HUD. Heading south west he ran to where the signal was coming from.
He saw Silva behind a few small trees and his pod was nearby. "Right here lieutenant." Silva answered him and looked at his map, they were half a mile from the town, gunfire in the distance could be heard as Kilo made contact with the enemy. "Where's everyone else?" he asked, Hobbar shook his head and put out on the platoon only HUD a nav marker for everyone to join up. "They'll find us." he said. "They'd better do it fast, next half hour the shuttles are coming down and dropping off heavy equipment to take the outlying bases."

OOC: I won't return until January so I'm making this a large post. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it. I'm also assuming that the platoon is all here.

Gunfire could be heard in the distance as they ran towards the town. Hobbar not wanting to waste any time made a bee line towards the outskirts of Peraia, as he did the gunfire grew louder. On his HUD he could make out friendly and enemy positions. The map showed multiple friendlies up head half a mile in one area clustered together. Red dots were showing up all around the town. Especially in the outskirts, but he couldn't make out if the enemy was in a building or some other kind of structure. Were they in a trench or perhaps behind some barricade? It didn't matter to Hobbar.
Bullets hit the snow in front of him. "Son of a bitch!" Alaneo Akana shouted in his helmet. "Those fuckers have four machine guns in that three story building the fourth building on the left, Lieutenant!" He was in a low area that barely covered him from bullets as they continued to pummel the snow. The rest of his platoon or what was left of them were either dead or here behind this low area...if someone lifted their head up they made a great target. The street in front of them was muddy, there was no real road at all..Except the road that had been made by vehicles. Kilo Company at the moment was pinned down in some areas and not others. Second platoon had managed somehow to get into the town but only because they were the first ones to actually reach the town, and were currently fighting inside one of the streets. The rest of the company had come behind them five minutes later....but the enemy was now aware of what was happening.
Third platoon was pinned down and Franks who was in charge of Fourth platoon was currently going on the far right flank on the captain's orders to try and find another way around the machine guns. So, third platoon was the only one here.
"Ayyappan...this isn't good." Lieutenant Bhan said. "Dammit all to hell, this just isn't my day. You, you, you. Get over towards that car in the middle of the street and try to get good cover and suppress those machine guns. Everyone else, cover them. Ready?" Bhan said over the radio. "Covering Fire!" He shouted and the platoon got down on their bellies and began to fire towards the building. The bullets began to impact the building, little specks of dust hit.
Three of the troopers began to run towards the destroyed red car in the middle of the street. One of them didn't make it as he got a shot multiple times in the chest. The other two however did make it and began to fire at the machine guns. Two of the guns went silent but one continued to fire and killed both of the troopers. "Ayyappan!" Bhan shouted as his plan quickly went to hell.
"Friendlies coming in at your six." Silva said to Bhan over the radio. Bhan looked behind him and shook his head.....about time! Jorge slid next to Bahn. "What's the situation?" he asked the lieutenant. "We have a three story building, looks like an apartment complex with machine guns two on the second story and the final on the third story. "The rest of the company is split up, one of the platoons made it into the town and is fighting down another street, Franks was told by the captain to find another way into the town since this block is covered by the nest. I sent three of my men into cover to take on the guns but got killed. That' and five other of my people are wounded, plus two other dead." he said. "Alright. Bahn, we'll help-" but was interrupted by more machine gun fire and another trooper went down.
"Ayyappan!" Bhan said. "What?!" Silva said. "It's a Hindu god....anyways how are you gonna help. I think I should cover you." Hobbar shook his head. "No if we stay here it won't be good for anyone, is there another street that isn't covered by this bastard?" he said. "That's what I've been trying to say. This is it! Either of the streets on the side is covered and one of those has the other platoon inside the town. Franks is going to find another way around It." he said. Hobbar shook his head. "Ok it looks like those buildings to the right of the nests have a good flanking position. We'll secure those five buildings. I want you to do whatever you can do." he told him.
"First platoon listen up. We're going to flank that building with the machine gun nest. We'll take those five buildings on this street." he said and highlighted the buildings. The buildings were the low lying buildings on the right of the street and currently in front of the platoon. "Once they are secure then we will proceed into the three story building and clear it out floor by floor."
The platoon got into position and looked at the row of five low lying buildings. Hobbar selected the farthest building on the right and highlighted it on everyone’s map. The building looked looked like it had once been a store of some kind, its windows were busted out the inside was extremely dark. “Silva cover us while we clear out the buildings.” He told him. “Alright, let’s go.” He said to the platoon, running across the road, a shot rang out. Reaching the store front, Hobbar looked inside the store and saw a dead body holding a rifle. Then three other shots rang out. Bullets whistled past them all.
“You have five heavily armed enemies in there, can’t tell what kind of rifles they got…” Silva told Hobbar and the rest. The inside of the store had multiple seating places with high tables, it looked like an old coffee shop of some kind, there was a bar in the middle of the room. Two of the gunmen were behind the counter, one of the gunmen was crouching behind the front door and the others were behind tables that had been turned over.

As Jorge crouched behind a oak tree as the platoon started to run towards the sun. He aimed his rifle towards the row of buildings where the Platoon was running towards. Silva wasn't the platoon leader but he wouldn't of sent everyone across the street. Then again there were a lot of buildings to clear out. He watched as Hobbar arrived at the first building. Looking inside the building, his visor pointed out five men carrying unknown rifles, he could not tell what kind they were. Maybe ARM also made it's own weapons to subsituite the captured ones. It only made sense. “You have five heavily armed enemies in there, can’t tell what kind of rifles they got…” he told the lieutenant.
He fired off a three round burst into the building. One of the people inside he was aiming for went down. However, the targets in the building were not the only ones in the area, he just took a quick look to the left to see how the other platoon was holding up when he saw two ARM troops run out of two stores away towards Hobbar. Immeaditly he opened fire. They went down, one of the got shot in the rib and the shoulder. His friend got shot in the head and legs. They went down very fast and without hesitation. He looked again to see if there were any other threats in the area and could see that there were three enemies on a roof of one of the buildings.
"Dammit, wish that sniper of ours was here." he whispered to himself. Firing off five rounds he hit one of the men on the roof tops. The other two he had missed and quickly reloaded his rifle. The enemy on the roof had now noticed him and started to fire in his direction. Bullets hit the snow in front of him as he got behind the bark for cover. He put the magazine into it's chamber and rolled out firing at the roof top. Most of the bullets had missed but a few of them had hit the targets. He didn't know if it had killed them but they were no longer firing at him. He got behind the tree again and looked at the roof tops, he saw two bodies in the street near the building that he was targeting. They must of fallen after being hit. Classic.

"Well this is just great isn't it?" Christopher whispered to himself before realizing that everyone else could hear him. Running across the street with the rest of the platoon bullets flew past him kicking up snow and dirt. No doubt the Staff Sergeant would shoot the bastard who tried to kill them.
Getting into a crouching position, he went up against a wall. Following the lieutenant, he watched as bullets went into the store following a confirmation by the Staff Sergeant on how many people were inside. Five? That shouldn't be too bad. He watched Hobbar gave a signal for a grenade. Being right behind Hobbar, Reed grabbed one of his fragmation grenades and threw it inside the shop. Before it went off he heard someone inside scream something but couldn't make out what they had said. Hobbar and the others backed away from the shop. The grenade went off and glass flew out into the street.
Christopher got up and started to walk towards the building very slowly. His Assault rifle pointed into the building. His visor detected small movement behind a table. He couldn't see anyone else that was alive at all inside the shop. The enemy behind the table grabbed the weapon that they had and gotten up to meet Christopher.
As they did, Christopher fired at the target. The first two bullets hit the enemy, however he fired back at Christopher. A bullet hit his chest but the armor protected it. The target went down as those bullets hit him in the upper chest. The other bullets that Christopher had fired hit the wall behind. He then moved inside of the ship and started to check the bodies quickly. Walking very slowly to one of the bodies he realized that they had been killed by the grenade. Walking behind the counter he saw the remains of what had been two ARM troopers with bits of shrapnel going through their torsos. "Clear Sergeant Godfred." he said and started to walk outside the shop.

"Secure the other buildings." Hobbar said over the radio and ran out of the now secured store. He tried to find a door at the other end of the building, but no such luck. Hoping to clear out this block was beginning to become quite the chore, but if it meant that it was the only way to clear out another building that had overlapping fields of fire on other troopers then he'd gladly do this job. Walking along the wall towards another store he didn't see or hear any gunfire from the rest of the block.
Strange. He approached the door to the other store and kicked it open. Some of these buildings still used old doors that could be opened without electricity. Going inside, he went in first and came upon what looked like that was at one time a department store. Clothes and racks were everywhere, the power was out, off to the right and left of Hobbar were smaller rooms that were most likely changing rooms. A large desk was at the center of the store. His visor was not detecting anyone inside this part of the store, except for a few bugs that were on the floor. He motioned his right hand for everyone to search the changing rooms.
Slowly he approached the desk and watched it for any sign of movement. Upon approaching the desk he heard a sound. Hobbar couldn't tell if it was from his left or right but it did sound like it came from one of the rooms off to either side of him. "Check it out!" he said. No one was hiding behind the desk much to his dismay. Looking further into the back the wall ended, and there was another door there. It had to be the stock room. "Zhour check out the stock room." he said.

"Can do lieutenant." Wei told him and started to walk towards the backroom. Was this the best the ARM could do? Hiding in the shadows making sounds all around them ha! Some terrorist organization they were. He walked slowly and kept his eyes on the door, the main room everyone was in was clear of hostiles, but someone was around in one of the other rooms, that was for sure. Checking his map, the green dots showed the positions of everyone. He tried to use his helmet's microphone to listen for the position of where the noise was coming from. But he couldn't tell where it was coming from.
Usually it'd be able to pick up the transmission, Zhour's guess was that the building somehow interfered. Or the terrorists had a tower that was blocking it. Wasn't that in the briefing? He shook his head and moved into breaching position. He slowly opened the door with one hand and had his rifle pointing directly in front of him.
Opening the door fully he looked at the new surroundings. The backroom or what had once been the backroom had a large hole in the wall. Large mounds of snow were around the hole. The roof was half missing, and old remains of clothes were littered everywhere. Running towards the hole he went to see what was on the other side. He climbed the snow that was leading up to the hole and spotted another dirt street with more store like buildings across from him. He looked left and saw a intersection with broken down old cars but no people at all. Looking to his right he saw friendlies clearing out a four story building. Quickly he identified it as another platoon from Kilo. "Lieutenant, there's a hole in the backroom here, we can go around these set of buildings and come from the back of the building where our guys are pinned down. There's also another platoon from Kilo company on this side of the street clearing out buildings." he told him.

Christopher walked into the store very slowly, following the lieutenant. He was very cautious, something to him just did not feel right for some reason. The building was empty from what he could tell. Discarded old clothes and racks were everywhere, and the entrance had been covered in snow, it had seeped into the front of the store, the rest had frozen that got in further. He kept an eye on his current map. When the lieutenant mentioned that someone else might be in here, he checked his map and only saw friendly signs of his immediate area.
Zooming out he saw enemies that had been confirmed that were on the building rooftops and a few enemies on the three story building that had been confirmed. He also spotted Silva and the platoon that had been pinned down by the machine gun nests. He also saw that there was another friendly platoon that was across the street clearing out other enemy buildings behind this store.
He saw Hobbar make a hang gesture and he walked over towards one of the changing areas. His rifle up he went into the area and saw that there were six rooms in total. Three on his left and three more on his right. Every door was closed. Slowly he walked towards the first one and pressed the panel to open it. The door opened and he saw a empty room that had a broken mirror and a over turned metal chair.
Turning on his infrared to see better he approached the other door very slowly. He opened the door and saw that it too was empty of anyone. It was a waste of time checking every room in this place, it should be declared clear and move on, but no the lieutenant had decided to check every place of this building! Opening another door to a room he saw that it was empty as well. These three rooms were cleared but he doubted that the others had anyone inside of them.
He went towards the other one across from him and opened it up and found it to be empty. Shaking his head and sighing he turned off his infrared it was pointless to have it on if no one was in this freaking building! He then went to the next door and opened it, and saw that it too was also empty. He then walked to the final door for the changing area of this side of the building.
Opening it up he pointed his rifle at the room and could not believe his eyes. It was empty as well. All this time he'd been expecting someone to be in one of the rooms, anyone. Even a civilian would of been amusing! "This part of the building is clear, no one on this side." he told Sergeant Godfred. "Sergeant, what's the point in looking, no one is here! It's empty I tell you."

The sound of war could be heard from a near distance. Yelling, gun fire, explosions. Two metallic clicks made their presence known, locking and acknowledging rounds were chambered. The two men looked and nodded to one another. Both were adorned in snow covered gillies, matching their scenery perfect. The taller of the two thumped his chest twice and using both index and middle fingers he pointed a direction around the large snow drift that hid them.
The two men removed themselves from their knelt position and moved in a low crouch. They would move this way for some time until they could clearly see the town. Both men came to a halt in an open field and took prone positions into the snow. Surprised at its depth they continued to sink until it was just their heads that could be seen, only when lifted however. "Looks like an exclusive party now." - "Mmhm, that is what happens when we get shot out at the last second." Both men scoped in on the current situation that was developing. They watched groups of men, their side - lucky for them, move from building to building. Only visible to an extent however.
"Let's move up. See if we can catch a few runners." Alex said taking to his feet, James did likewise. Both men moved in a slow run. Alex had his M58A2 aimed toward the way the duo was moving. Watching for any indication there were enemy snipers out as James kept his M68C9 Assault Rifle pointed towards the town, to suppress any enemies in case they were spotted. The sniper unit managed to avoid compromise. The two huddled down on a hill that had a small grouping of partially destroyed trees. The snow was much thinner up here, thanks going to the wind.
James set up his telescope and set it on the town, he was in a crouched position behind a broken tree branch that laid on the ground. Alexander was also crouched up behind a stump, the M58A2's bipod secured on the relatively flat surface of the stump. Both men were quiet as they watched the area before them. Signs of movement were everywhere but it wasn't enough to sure of who produced them. "To the left, running to our right." James said calmly as his scope was beginning to adjust Alex's.
"He is - tagged. On you." Alex smiled behind his cloak as his eye watched the man stagger in his run. The Corporal's finger found the trigger and pulled back gently. The mechanism's inside of the M58A2 began to turn. The gun launched back into the shoulder of Alex as it launched its artillery. The round soared to its target, striking the torso of the ARM trooper. The round impacted the man, ripping through his armor - skin - muscle and bones only to rip out the other side and embed itself deep into the wall of the building behind him. "Clean hit." James said as he adjusted his scope to yet another man who was running to catch up to his comrade.
The living ARM soldier stopped in his tracks, stunned at the sight before him. He quickly turned to his own left and began to run down a street that was down Alex's sight. "Tagged, Adjusted, On you." James said as he pulled his eye away from the telescope. Alex once again did the same, the gun recoiling into his shoulder again. This time the round blasted through the ARM soldiers thigh. Tearing and destroying the muscle fibers and bone from the remainder of his body. The man collapsed in agony as his leg fell from him.
"Clean hit. You could of killed him." - "I know, it was on purpose. We could use the bait." Alex said light of the situation, James nodded in agreement. These weren't typically the way they handled an enemy, normally going for the straight kill, but these ARM guys were an exception. 'They would do the same to us.' Alex thought as he watched the soldier struggle to crawl and try and get help. Meanwhile James pulled from his knapsack a small cylinder object and switched it on - it began to pulse quietly and register on the radar that was housed in their helmets. He sat it off to the side.
Both men sat watching their bait and radar. "Should I try and get contact with Kilo?" Alex nodded "Yeah, let them know we are here and operating deeper than their position. Figure out if they want us inside the city on the rooftops or to remain on its outskirts and hit whatever comes by us." James complied and hit the radio attempting to make contact with the leader of Kilo.

John was psyched this morning when he was with the doctor for his daily visit. The doctor told him that he was back on active duty and had his flight status back. The doctor said that his physical condition was back to normal, and, if he'd continue to take his pills, he'd be okay to fly.
With his flight status back, John was briefed about the status. There were boys cleaning up a town, and they may need air support soon. That's why John and his new sparrow would fly to that town and scan for enemies. Should they positively ID a hostile, they'd engage. Having a sparrow in the air above you also gives a morale boost to friendlies and scares the enemy, who have nothing in the air.
After getting briefed, John went to the hangar bay, and entered his new sparrow from the back. From the looks of it, she was already armed and fueled. He sat down in the pilot's seat and met his new copilot. It seemed like he already did most of the preparations and checks, and only waited for John to fire her up and get planetside. John started the sparrow and went trough a final checklist before asking permission.
"Baseplate, this overwatch, requesting permission for launch, over"
"Overwatch, permission granted. Good luck and godspeed, Baseplate out"
With that, John initiated launch sequence and flew towards the planet less than five minutes later. Another thirty minutes later he was trough the atmosphere and was closing in on the village so he contacted the leader of the friendly troops.
"Troopers CO, this is overwatch coming in to provide cover, how copy?"

Hobbar heard someone familer. It was the pilot who crashed his own sparrow. He couldn't remember the guy's name for anything but right now he needed his help. Quickly he switched frequencies. "This is Lima 2, say again Lima 2. Lima 1 is on the snow bank pinned down by a three or four story building. Building is heavily fortified with machine gun nests and infantry. Coordinates are-" he looked on his map and gave the pilot the coordinates."Please assist, use extreme caution when approaching."
With that done, he looked around and didn't hear that sound anymore, the building must be empty. "Platoon listen up, we're gonna flank around these buildings and hit the backdoor of that building with the multiple nests. Baseplate is gonna level the front of it. I want us to go in the back and kill any unlucky ARM son of a bitch that happens to lie. One we secure the building, we will continue clearing the rest of this street. ooorah?" he said over the radio.
Jones was with fourth platoon. Ricky's platoon had done a good job with clearing out this street, but when he ordered Franks to flank, he hadn't figured on it taking this long to find a weak spot. The toughest area was that damned machine gun nest building to his immediate north east taking down some people in his company. Standing near a blown out window he was tapped on the shoulder by someone. "Captain, a sniper is requesting orders. He's from Hobbar's platoon." PFC Joyce said and handed him the radio. "This is Kilo CO. I advise you to get to a higher point in the town that has been cleared out. If you can please try to get overwatch on entire town. Kilo out." he said.

Lizzie was listening in from the flight control center on the dauntless. For now she let the orders from down below stand. If he so much as didn't listen to the directives given, then so may heaven help her pilot who was dropping in the tanks. Firefly was not in the mood for a firefight, she was glad that if there had been anti aircraft weapons they had already been disabled, at least according to the briefing she had received. Wonder bar well with Ghost things never seemed to go as they were planned so she was keeping an eye on him.
Kirkwood rubbed her temples and listened, but then she cut in. "I want you to give them cover fire where you can, you got that" her voice left little room for argument. She was the still normal quiet tone she always used. Well it was projected in this case. If Lizzie did not feel like yelling, then she would not raise her voice. The rumors that she was a push over were not entirely too misplaced although, she did take control of things when she needed to. Right, these pilots need to start ding what they were told rather than tuning her out of their head like they did most days. It was easy to tune her out sometimes. Well, they knew better. There was a fine line between respect and doing their jobs. She still outranked them.

"If you can please try to get overwatch on entire town. Kilo out." The two men looked at each other on Kilo's last words. They let out a laugh and looked back to the town. "They clearly do not know how this works." Alex said returning his eyes to the scope back onto the leg-less ARM soldier. He was watching him go through the motions. His body slowly coming to the realization of blood loss, then oxygen deprivation. Alex was quite sure there were people watching him die, his comrades - too scared to go rescue him. He reminded himself 'they would do the same'.
Pulling away from the scope he looked across the flat horizon of structures, only one stood out. Alex pointed to it. "We need to go there." indicating to a tall cathedral like structure that appeared to house a bell or some sort of chimes. "Easy enou- It would be towards the center of town." James said lightly as he looked to the map he just activated "We just need to go through..." his voice trailed off despite continuing to mouth words. Meanwhile Alex removed the rifle from the flat of the stump and deactivated the bi-pods that supported the large artillery piece.
"Route uploaded Corporal. We are ready." James said as he picked up the motion sensitive sonar, turning it off as he returned it to its rightful place in the knapsack. James picked up his Assault Rifle.
...
Both men stood up against the wall which the first ARM soldier was shot. James looked at the gore and shook his head. He shuffled over to the corner of the building where it met the street and looked down to where the one-legged ARM soldier laid. The body was motionless and clearly had passed away at this point. James moved away from the corner and back to where Alex stood on the opposite corner looking down the alley way. Alex had slung the M58A2 Rifle onto his back and had his pistol drawn and held loose in both hands.
An all clear light pinged on James' HUD and the two moved down the alley way in a low crouch, following the nav route laid out by James just minutes beforehand. It took them through a series of alleys, a small frozen creek, and a short snow drift covered tunnel-way that took them almost five minutes to shovel open. They had finally arrived in sight of their destination. Alex, prone, crawled up and remained behind a few burn barrels as he looked onward to the Cathedral. "Oh you gotta be shittin' me." Alex said quietly to himself as James crawled up to his position. "...Sneer at his finest." James whispered.
Alex pushed back away from the burn barrels and returned to a crouched position deep in the alley way sitting up against the wall of a neighboring building. He set up to get in contact with Kilo once again. "Kilo, this is Vaio. Do you copy?" He waited for a short moment with no response. "Kilo. This is Vaio. Do you copy?" He waited again, longer this time. He fine tuned the frequency. "Kilo. This is Vaio. Copy?" He waited this time, he knew the frequency was dead on. Now it was just a matter of them responding.

The copilot complied and fired 2 rockets before switching to the machinegun. The rockets hit their targets, and the building went up in flames after two explosions. "Uhm, Lima two, this is overwatch. hostiles down."

Admin Post 6/14/3358 0842 hours Weather: 10 degrees farenheight, light snowfall. Wind 5 mph by the south west Terrain: urban Captain Jones was kneeling down watching from his HUD how the operation was going so far. Mike Company was moving into the town from the North West, and had encountered light resistance so far. They had the first block of their own objective secure and were moving to secure the second block. Lima Company which was advancing from the east was encountering only a few pockets. The known positions of enemies were centered away from the outskirts of town and more concentrated towards the bridge itself. He could not tell how many enemies there were except that that area was highlighted in red. There were five buildings that surrounded the known enemy positions, which were likely full of ARM infantry. The other side of town was actually worse but the Republican Army was slowly making progress. A building that was highlighted as a communications building had just lit up as taken by Lima Company. Kilo was moving behind schedule thanks to the enemy held positions on their side of town. PFC Joyce tapped him on the shoulder and gave him the radio. He grabbed the phone and said."Vaio this is Kilo Actual. Wait one." he said as he pulled up the name of who he was talking to. A second earlier he was getting the company more organized when he called and was a little distracted but now he had the time. "Vaio vaio. You are to contact Kilo Two I say again contact Kilo Two as he is your platoon lieutenant. He will then give you new orders. Kilo Actual out." he said. Walking towards the window he watched at how third platoon finally cleared this street. "Kilo Two, this is Kilo Actual.""Do it." Hobbar said as Silva kicked in the door to the back of the building. Smoke was rushing outside and the flames were felt even from the outside. There was a long hallway with multiple doors on either side but far down the hall was an extremely large fire continuing to build up. "Lieutenant, I think it's safe to say that anyone who is alive is in no condition to fight." he told Hobbar. "Agreed Silva, ok lieutenant Bahn the hostile building is now on fire, should anyone come out I don't think they'll want to fight, so you can get back to your original mission." he said. "Copy that lieutenant Hobbar, fourth platoon thanks for the assist, we'll clear out the rest of this sector." he said. "Kilo Two, this is Kilo Actual." Hobbar heard on his radio, it was the captain. "Kilo One here." he said. "Kilo Two, I've just been informed that you now have sniper support, they are at this building." he said. Hobbar's HUD suddenly highlighted the building where they now were, as well as the rest of the friendly forces. "Kilo Two you are to proceed and take the communications building, objective Sandy. Repeat, take objective sandy before moving on to the main objective, we believe that is why radio contact is choppy. Switching you to frequency for sniper support code word Vaio, say again Vaio. Contact on a different frequency once Sandy is taken, Kilo Actual out." he said. "Vaio, Vaio, this is Kilo Two do you copy over." Hobbar said as he grabbed Vinigan's headset and motioned for the platoon into a deserted building that was empty. He went behind a small table.

"Vaio vaio. You are to contact Kilo Two I say again contact Kilo Two as he is your platoon lieutenant. He will then give you new orders. Kilo Actual out." - Alex shook his head and closed the frequency with Kilo-Actual. "I don't need new orders dammit." He said to himself. James had now returned from the burn barrels, his helmet cam capturing a few still images.
The two sat idly as they waited. "Alright, one more minute." It was almost thirty more seconds until their comms buzzed off. ""Vaio, Vaio, this is Kilo Two do you copy over." - Alex smiled, finally getting in contact with his platoon. "Affirmative Kilo-Two, this is Vaio, we read you." Alex said as he looked to James who was preparing the send off the still images to Kilo-Two. He didn't allow Kilo-Two the justice of responding to order them, rather he would interrupt anything that was to be said and speak his findings. "Kilo Two, this is Vaio. We are approximately here-" a small glowing dot popped up on Kilo-Two's HUD and showed them South-West of the center of town."-we have located a fairly large building, possibly a church towards the center of town on its North-western corner. It appears ARM has set up a small operational head quarters. It appears to be defended with weapon emplacements and approximately twenty to thirty soldiers is my assumption. It is barricaded with razor-wire and concrete barriers. There are a few trucks, none appear to be mechanized weaponry. They have a communications relay tower on the ground, towards the east side of the church. We are sending you still images of our findings. Images may be low resolution. How copy?" Alex said, quite aware of the situation that they may have not heard anything. Meanwhile James attempted to send the encrypted images through, hoping they display clearly on Kilo-Two's HUD.
Confirmation of a clear message or a failed one, Alex would either repeat what he just said or continue on with "Kilo-Two. If air-support is available I highly advise you let us laze and raze. If not this is going to be a blood-bath. Copy?" - "Images sent." James said only to Alex.
As they spoke the two men had entered a small vacant building through its back door. Set-up the Motion Sensitive Sonar, placed a motion sensitive claymore at every entrance and headed up to the buildings second floor and staged themselves at a window facing the church-like building.
The target building was large, possibly the largest in the town. It wasn't a stronghold that was for sure, but ARM seemed to make it appear as such. The windows and walls covered in thin sheets of metal alloys, the entrance and outlying perimeter containing concrete blockades and razor wire to concentrate any enemy movement directly into their machine gun fire. The weapon emplacements could be seen poking out of several uncovered windows and in various strategical spots across the grounds. Soldiers were also held up in various buildings surrounding the Cathedral. It was clear that this was a operational headquarters for the town, but it definitely was not the main one. No one important was in this building, no it was too unguarded for that. It only appeared to relay important orders between their platoons from their bigger command source. Shutting this down may also shut down any ARM resistance in the town. Or it may not. Either way it had to be removed from the equation. Of course. Command may want to take over the building, throwing lives away just to get into the ARM communication network. More than likely though the soldiers inside would destroy any equipment before falling into their enemies hands. It appeared to be a coin flip at this point. Destroy it without any chance of securing enemy comm lines, or sacrifice men for a small chance to secure enemy comm lines.
