As Silva walked into the hanger he saw many sparrows and recovery craft, with multiple people around the bay. Some were being repaired. The room was massive, the door in which he had entered was the main door to the hanger of the Dauntless Fury and was wide enough for multiple people to enter and go into. There was a long cat walk going around the entire bay, only those who had clearance to get onto the floor of the bay could go into the "Pit" as it was called. The massive hanger had large airlocks in the center with craft on giant magnetic locks getting ready for a drop. Right now multiple sparrows were on the giant metallic locks hoisted up in the air with pilots checking the sparrow, a few were lowered and had vehicles being loaded into them. Four Rommel main battle tanks were seen being loaded onto multiple sparrows, as were recon jeeps and M121 Cougar Armored Personal Carriers.
The vehicles wouldn't be going into the city but rather to other targets such as small bases that were heavily armed. The other regiments would be taking the outer area while his own regiment would take the town. Technicians he could see were working on a number of Starfury's that had taken damage in the battle two weeks ago, and a few recovery shuttles were also being worked on far on the other side of the hanger, opposite of his side. The lighting in the hanger was very good and one could see everything, as he continued to walk towards the drop pod bay other troopers were either in front or behind him in full gear with back packs. His helmet that he had on gave the names of everyone he was looking at, not to mention the air conditioned suit which felt good at the moment.
Entering the drop pod bay, he saw the usual site of the drop pods. The drop pod bay was enormous and had so many pods he didn't really know which one to choose. The bay was full of other troopers getting into them and getting their platoons together. The center of the room was a empty space around it was a large square that had people inside it talking. A conveyor belt was overhead picking up pods as people entered them and placing them to the drop bay doors which was in another room, far in the back. As those pods went, more pods were placed to take the place of the ones taken.
Silva stood next to a row of pods that no one had taken yet and waited for the rest of the platoon to arrive. He checked his watch, they only had ten minutes to arrive, it they didn't then it wouldn't be good for the operation.
