Government type: Federalist, every planet has it's own form of government however national government has some authority.
The Grand Assembly
Together the Senate and Council are known as The Grand Assembly. It is the UCR's Legislature.
Senate: Each member world every five years takes part in a census, every ten years new senators are voted in. There are only 3,000 members of the senate. There are also numerous parties, the speaker of the Senate is voted by popular vote just as the senators are voted in. Here laws are made or changed. A bill get's passed by popular vote. If it passes it moves on to the Council. If not enough Senators support it then it dies. The Senate has the power to declare war and to create treaties. However before a treaty is created or a resolution for war is created it is sent to the Supreme Republican Court for review before any decision is made.
Council: The Council is made up of 640 members and is not voted according to population, each planet has 20 councilmen. A speaker of the council is voted in by his peers.Here the bills are changed if the council wishes to change them. They can also vote down a bill and it doesn't get passed. The Council however cannot override the Senate on military matters. The Council does not create bills at all they just change the bills that the Senate gives them and pass it or vote it down. But, the Council is the body that writes bills for regulating the economy, and the Senate has no say in it. As usual, the Supreme Republican Court must pass or dismiss any financial bill. The Council is also the chamber that holds investigations of the state.
The Supreme Republican Court: Here is where a bill ends up, the courts decide whether a bill is passed or not. There are 89 judges here. In order for a bill to be passed, each judge looks over it and makes changes to a bill and then they hold a popular vote on the change to see which ones can go in and which ones can't. However the court cannot veto a bill, only they can send it back to the senate where it goes through the cycle again.. Judges are elected by the citizens of each planet. Each star system every 8 years chooses it's local judges. None of the judges can belong to any sort of political party while being elected, or while in the Court. Once the candidates are chosen a election by citizens are held one year later. In addition to approving laws, the Courts also take judicial cases, and it's word is law in the judicial system. The inner colonies and outer colonies each have their own supreme republican court for the colonies. If either of those courts wish, they can then take it to the Supreme Republican Court on Earth. Whatever it decides is law. It can also pass the Senate's wishes to go to war or sign a treaty. The Supreme Republican Court cannot be challenged by the Senate or the Council, it can only be influenced by the Speaker.
Head of Government: The U.C.R. has no official head of government, just three branches. However it is unofficial that the Speaker of the Council is the head of the government. The Speaker leads both the Senate and the Council, driving the government to go his or her way. The Speaker can influence either of these bodies by supporting or dismissing a bill. The Speaker can also try if they wish to challenge the Supreme Republican Court on the ruling that they might of made. The Court must then decide among itself whether or not to change a law that they had passed. The Speaker also has his or her own cabinet that can advise them on what is occurring within the Republic. They do however control the various departments of the U.C.R. such as education, energy, welfare, etc.

The U.C.R. encourages it's colonies to have their own form of local government. Each government on each world is responsible for the local economy and it's own system. However the U.C.R. can over step these foundries in case of a local government wishing to break away from the U.C.R. The laws passed by the U.C.R. also effect the local colonial governments.
Military:
The Military Branch of the U.C.R. is the United Colonies for Humanity's Defense Force, or the UCHD or UCHDF.
The Military is further broken up into 3 main branches:
The Army - Ground Defense and Occupation
The Navy - Water and Space Borne fleets
The Expeditionary Force - Expeditionary missions for exploration and assaults.
Economy: The U.C.R. has a capitalist driven economy in theory. Each star system has it's own local currency and every economy follows the Star National Economic Board, which loosely regulates the economy of the U.C.R. In addition to the local economies, Human Corporation is the sole provider for jobs outside the government
Human Corporation: In the late 2600's the government was finally victorious in the UCR civil war. Multiple corporations had tried to secede from the government and failed. With most colonies either damaged from warfare or suffering economic hardship, the government decided it was time to manage the corporations once and for all. So the government on 2699 decreed that all the companies of mankind would be under one large umbrella otherwise known as "Human Corp" If a job was not within the government, local government, military or anything owned by the state then he or she had a job with Human Corp. Human Corp owns everything, and makes the weapons that we use. It is also the only manufacturer of the weapons that humanity has. From the food we eat to the clothes we wear, Human Corporation makes those products.
In addition to the company owning all or most of the capital within the U.C.R., it also houses an impressive fleet that is non military. However not all these ships are owned by Human Corp.
Private Military : The only form of a private military is Special Security or S.S. for short. the S.S. is run by Human Corporation and in effect is under the department of Weapons Research and Development. The S.S. has no restrictions on how many members it can have, and is usually called into deal the matters the corporation dosen't want the U.C.R. to be involved in.
