The ARM was founded in 3350 and it's sole purpose is to bring down Human Corporation through violence. ARM stands for Anonymous Resistance Movement. The ARM is a human terrorist organization, although other organizations exist, this terrorist organization is the most extreme and the only one that is anti human corporation. The reasons for being so anti human corporation is because of it's founder ex Republican Army General Jason Sneer.
Sneer's wife was killed while working for the company when contact with her ship on a planet far away from the outer colonies was lost. General Sneer was once in charge of the 13th Army Corps based in the Alpha Centuari star system. Upon leaving he convinced over half of his staff to join the new group he was trying to find. When other local officials heard about this, they tried to arrest Sneer but to no success since he and his newly formed group had left the system before they could be found.
Many ARM troopers are once proud members of the 13th Army Corps infantry unit, which also has heavy equipment like APC's, Walking Battle Suits, Tanks to fight in rebellion. Many civilians have also joined the ARM not out of fear but because they also see Human Corporation as vile due to it's Special Security division. One of the most infamous ARM atrocities was in 3357 when Fifteen Human Corporation merchant vessels were destroyed in dry dock above the Hesperus planet in the Marathon star system. This also destroyed a civilian orbital hotel due to the debris hitting the station and killing 6,000 people.
Sisyphus was quickly settled due to the planet being abandoned, ARM civilians built their own towns and rebuilt the old structures that were once there. The planet has become the main strong point of ARM. Sneer's goal is to try and find a portal that his wife had information on that has the potential to unleash something terrific. The government has never told the reason as to why Sneer wants to destroy Human Corporation because of fears that other citizens might wish the same thing. Jason Sneer is currently 58 years of age and has never taken rejuvenation drugs. He is 5 feet tall with thin grey hair and green eyes. He has a New Zealand accent, and was born on the planet Shoreridge III in the Epsilon Eridani star system.
