The Human Corporation has it's own private security known as Special Security or S.S. for short. The S.S. has three branches
1. Special Investigation and Information- This branch is responsible for the S.S. getting information from people about threats to Human Corporation either through giving that person credits....or harsh interrigation. This branch is ruthless in getting information any way possible. They even specialize in Espinoge and Spy networks
2. Armored Troops- This branch is the knife of the S.S. The S.S. supplies this branch with it's own weapons and starships the people who work in this branch are mercs who will do anything for money...anything. They have a ruthless combat record.
3. Custom- This branch is responsible for the security of VIP's and buildings that Human Corporation owns, they are pretty much paid security guards however they are no push over.
Armored Trooper
XA9 MkIII Powered Armour: The SS, what with their considerable budget put hundreds of thousands of sol credits in R&D to keep their elite soldiers both alive and the most dangerous infantry fighting force on the battlefield. The suit comes in multiple parts as it is assembled on each soldier using a mechanical and automated system due to its size and comparative weight, especially when compared with non-powered armour.
Standing at 8'6", anyone wearing the armour will stand head and shoulders over normal soldiers, the armour is designed to completely resist up to a standard .950 JDJ round and has multiple documented and recreated cases of resisting repeated direct hits from .50 BMG AP rounds. The few parts of the suit are not covered by armour plating protect the wearer completely from small arms fire like handgun and sub machinegun rounds and have considerable success against standardised rifle rounds Despite being extremely hard to pierce, due to its powered nature it is almost weightless when worn and has all the degrees of movement that an unencumbered person would have. The suit is not designed to simply boost your physical capabilities by a set level but actually amplify them by a percentage determined by how capable your body is, if you aren't that fit then the suit will only improve their performance by a slight percentage where as if you have an athletic build and your body is stronger, then the suit will amplify your physical ability by a significant margin.
When compared to a suit of armour like the A21 Marauder suit, it has all the same feature's integrated into it as well as several capabilities that aren't found on other armour sets. Soldiers wearing the XA9 are able to be dropped from a height of around 40 - 45 metres without injury, meaning that they are able to be deployed into combat zones considerably faster than standard soldiers, SS trooper deployment times only being beaten by SDC orbital drops, however there are prototypes for powered armour attachment sets that would allow SS troopers equipped with the enhanced XA9 suits to be dropped from orbit without the need for an orbital drop pod. Speed is something that is obviously effected by the armour both in regards to running speed and general movement. The average running speed for users of the XA9 balances out at around 48Km/h with some soldier's reaching sustained sprints at 55Km/h meaning they are often able to keep pace with most vehicle columns when moving on foot.
One thing that was noted during testing is that due to the increased strength and mobility of the suit, users reported that CQC was heavily altered as engagements would end so much faster as the moment one XA9 user got the upper hand there was little to no time for the other combatant to fight back as once the suit registered a malfunction in a limb, it would cut power to prevent further injury due to misdirection of the suit limbs. It is also clear to note that it is practically impossible for a normal soldier in non-powered armour to engage an XA9 user in CQC without suffering extreme injury or death.
