Stephanie was showering and then changing into something NOT full of sand. The woman had decided it was too hot for jeans and had go into shorts and a tank top so that she could go jogging or something. That was when she heard the knock the door. Who the hell would be knocking on her door. She stood there a second before opening the door. She had first checked to see that it was Hobbar through the peep hole. Resourceful little bastard. When she finally opened the door she sighed a moment. "Is there a problem?" The woman really really hoped not. She sighed a moment and then waited to see what he would have to say about the whole ya know knocking on her door thing.
Reaching onto her wrist she grabbed a ponytail holder up and tossed her hair back up as she stared at Hobbar for a moment. She opened the door showing that she didn't mind if he came in, otherwise if he wanted to then he could just stand in the hallway. She did not prefer that to be the case however.

The door opened and she greeted him…in the usual Amberson way. He did notice that she was wearing shorts, her legs had a very nice tan to them. She also wore a tank top. He couldn’t remember her wearing that last night…or maybe she did. That douche bag Connor took up most of the memories of last night. “There’s no problem.” She stood to the side and it looked like she was inviting him in. But did she really invite him in? Or was this a test to see if he would respect her privacy. Then again he was over analyzing everything again. How could he ever know how to read her damned signs, they never ever made any sense!
Taking a chance he walked inside her hotel room. “I had gotten ready for the day and wanted to go back to the beach. I’d like to play volleyball. I can’t play the game by myself. There’ll probably be other people down at the beach playing as well.” He didn’t go that far into the hotel room and had his back to the room, facing her. He was inside but unless she wanted him to sit down on either of the chairs inside the room he wouldn’t. Again he was over analyzing it but it was part of his nature.

Stephanie raised an eyebrow "You realise the last time that I played volleyball was in grade school and I have likely forgotten the rules" she informed him rather bluntly as she finished her hair off with a very quick bun. She still kept her long hair up all the time, it was more military habit than anything. The only time it was down was when someone managed to get her into something formal but mostly then it was even up off her neckline. Stephanie heard cat calls down the hall and rolled her eyes, which military brat was going to get it? She had no idea but she would find out sooner rather than later. Why were there so many people from base here anyway? She had been trying to get away, that had worked not so well at all.

Hobbar smirked. “So? The last time I played was back in my highschool. So I haven’t played in a while. I’m sure it’s easy. You can ask them the rules of it when we get down there.” He said to her. He noticed that she made her hair into a bun. What again? Didn’t she ever braid her hair when she wasn’t working, or better yet let it flow freely. He didn’t care but it would have been nice for a change. He heard some whistles outside. Looking out a few people made cat calls at her. Great, perhaps Hobbar picked the wrong place to take a vacation.
He only saw three other people in uniform outside every other person was a civilian. But it seems that people did in fact like Amberson…or rather her body. And he couldn’t blame them, she was good looking. Looking at her he had to say something “I bet all the guys were going after you growing up.” He said in a cheerful voice, trying anything to make her at least chuckle a little. He knew she didn’t have the best childhood in the world. However it didn’t hurt to try. He tried to make her laugh before it hadn’t really worked. But that didn’t mean he would stop trying, if anything he would try even harder.

Stephanie gave him a raised brow and just nodded, great he was going to play a game he didnt know how to play; that was going to make an awesome team. Right. She was about to open her mouth to say something when he had to be aware of the cat calls. Giving him a look of disdain and then reaching over and punching him squarely in the shoulder she smirked. "Shush you"she joked as she suddenly hip shoved him, in a way she was taunting him just to see how far she could push him. She closed the door behind them and gave him a satisfied smirk. Okay now she was ready go play volleyball. Though the people giving cat calls would gladly be tripped in the hallway if she ran across them..

He was surprised that she playfully responded. Perhaps she was starting to feel more comfortable around him. That was a good thing. After closing the door behind them, they went outside of the hotel. Going out on the patio the place was full of women sunbathing themselves. The tikihut was packed with customers and the two employees were struggling to get all of the orders. They walked down the short path this time. Finally arriving on the sand they made a right where he’d seen the volleyball net last night. It only had two other people by the net playing by themselves. A man and a woman. “Mind if we play with you?!” Michael yelled at them as he got closer.
The woman in front of them both turned around, she was a beautiful redhead. Her skin a beautiful white but not pale. She had green eyes and some freckles. She turned to the other player who smiled and said something in another language that neither Hobbar nor Ambeson understood. She turned back around. “Oh sorry I didn’t mean to speak in Celtic, I’m Ethna and that over there is my twin brother Kieran. You can join us, you know how to play don’t you?” she asked them. “I played a long time ago in highschool if that counts.” He said. “All you have to do is hit the ball and make sure it does not hit the ground. Let’s say I hit the ball and it hits the ground over where Kieran is standing. I get a point. We play to five points, whomever get’s to five points first is with me. Your on my team.” Ethna said pointing to Amberson. “Come on lad don’t make me wait all day!” Kieran yelled over to Hobbar. He also had red hair although it was shaved off. Hobbar ran up to him and got over to his left “So what do you do?” he asked. “I’m in the corps.” Hobbar said. “Really? I’d liked to of gotten that job, I’m still in college. I’m 22. Ethna is also in college and we’re both studying for our Masters, we wanna be chemists.” He said gladly . “You still haven’t passed that exam have ya Ethna!?” he yelled at his sister. “Only because you suck at helping me study!” she yelled back. Ethna handed the ball to Amberson. “Ok, you serve.” She said and ran to the right side.

Amberson gave the two a look and then looked back at Hobbar her playful demeanor was completely gone. It was like someone had pushed a button. These were hyper teenagers who expected her to be open. Right, so they were going to play men vs. women... she really hoped the men were going to get their ass handed to them. Stephanie took the ball from the other woman with just a nod before tossing it up into the air and smacking it down it made it over the net, clearly she had a hard hitting serve, well at least it was not going to go out of bounds. Now whether it was going to come back over towards them she had no idea. How well could the other two chase a ball that was aimed for the far back corner?

Hobbar watched as the ball went up quite high. The ball came back very fast over towards Kieran, whom hit it as well but it went into a angle over into Hobbar’s direction. Hobbar moved back in order to save it, and he hit it. The ball then went back to Kieran whom hit it over in the direction of Amberson and Ethna. Ethina had a hand on it and smacked the ball just above the net. Hobbar and Kieran both ran to save it and ended up making it just go above the net and over towards Ethna and Amberson. Ethna ran as fast as she could to try and save the ball.

Stephanie reached up and spiked the ball down hard in the men's direction as she saw the other woman was going to not quite make it and the ball had already mostly set itself after bouncing off Ethna once already. There was a large spike made by the older woman.

Hobbar and Kieran both ran as fast as they could to try and save the ball. Some how Hobbar dived in the sand but when he did the ball only went up a little. Kieran then hit the ball higher but it didn’t get high enough as it came back down fast He hit it again and went backwards. By this time Hobbar was back up and when the ball came back down he spiked it very hard at the girls.

Making his way through the double doors, he had decided that this was the right time. Who the hell was she to yell and scream at him? Not taking responsibility for her child was one thing but yelling at him in front of their commanding officer? Now that was another thing altogether! And who did that lieutenant think he was screwing with? Oh sure he might be able to bitch but when he got back to the mainland…oh when he got back Connor was going to make his life hell! He decided to arrive at this time of night because most people were now asleep and the hotel security was sparse if there was any in the area. He had on a dark brown coat and in his coat he had two pistols and a knife. She’d pay alright, the stupid bitch.
He knew her room number because earlier that day he went up to the hotel clerk and asked. The hotel lobby was well lit and there was no one except for the one hotel clerk who was working on his computer. He saw him come in but didn’t say anything, as the Clerk was very busy working and couldn’t be distracted for too long. As he came up to her door he had one final thought: She’s gonna pay. He pounded extremely loud on the door

"Its zero three go the hell away" she didn't care who it was. She was on vacation and it was three in the morning and she wanted to sleep. Stephanie rolled over to the bed table and grabbed for her gun, if it was someone trying to break in they were going to get a bullet through the forehead. The woman mumbled something under her breathe in Bulgarian, she was not a happy camper at the moment. Her feet pounded on the ground below her forgetting that she was on one of the higher floors. Her neighbors downstairs were probably not going to be too pleased with her. The woman waited at the edge of the wall to see if this person was stupid enough to break in through a hotel room door.
Really on vacation of all things she had to deal with this after the run in earlier with Connor. Apparently no one wanted to let her take a vacation. She looped one foot over the other with her gun aimed through the door. Okay, so who was the wise crack? She had a feeling she was about to find out.

He knocked four more times. Each time he did the knock became louder He was not going to announce himself to her. If she knew it was him she wouldn’t allow him inside. It would be best for her to constantly wonder who was at the door. Then once she saw him she would be surprised for only a few seconds before he hoped to over power her. He knew that she was probably going to be defensive, after all it was what, three in the morning? He was surprise that no one was paying any attention to him. The clerk he looked over his shoulder was frantically typing something into the computer and was not watching Connor. And no security guards had shown up nor was anyone else outside. No one had opened their own doors to see what was causing the noise. He hadn’t expected it to be very lax, and he was quite surprised that no guards had shown up. He thought that a camera would alert them or some other security feature.

After having a nice long shower and drying his hair off, Michael went out into the room. He then went into his closet and got out his night time clothes. A black shirt with the words Special Drop Corps with sweats. After placing it on he said “Holovision on.” The holographic television turned on and it showed a late night talk show. “Channel forty five nine.” The device then went to the channel. He sat down and looked at the clock on the side of the bed. It was now officially three in the morning. Well it wasn’t as if he wasn’t going to any missions in the near week. The program came on. “Tonight on Bloody Mysteries. Paul Willis was just a office worker who disappeared after leaving work. On his way home his car suddenly went off the road and crashed into a guard rail. The police at the crime scene saw a burned body. It would have been a car accident that was about to be closed when the police discovered a video which showed a mystery woman in the passenger seat. Her body was not present at the crime scene. Bloody Mysteries will go into the crime scene and interview members of the investigation. What they discovered shocked the department to it’s core. Bloody Mysteries Presents: Ghost Killer. Right after these messages.” The show then went off and commercials began to play.
As the commercials began to play he began to think about the events of the day. He had a good time with Amberson. Even if he did loose at the volleyball game he enjoyed his time with her. Tomorrow she wanted to take him to the local gun range, not that he didn’t want to go. He did it was just awkward that it’s what she wanted to do with her time off. Hopefully the next day they could go sailing, he’d never been before and was very excited to try something new and exciting. This was probably the very first time he’d ever been able to relax. Nothing to think about, no papers that had to be written, no orders he had to give out. He could just relax for a good while. He’d live every moment up if he could! After all who knew how long this would last.
