Frame: Alexia is a tall person and she often has to look down to people talking to her. Her mother was around the same height and quite possibly just a little taller than her. She has bright blue eyes and dark red hair, but not ginger. Her father had red hair that was always easy to spot, and her eyes were also from her mother. Her hair goes down to her shoulders and often has her hair in a bun of some sort. Her skin is a quite white, but not pale. Due to her being only sadly half Russian and from the far east of the Russian Union, she can easily sunburn. Alexia’s hands are small, her fingers are very slender. She has a hourglass figure due to her working out in her free time. She does have some muscles due to working out. However most of the time it's barely seen through her clothing. Due to her taking anti aging drugs, Alexia has the appearance of a person in their very early 20’s. She is biologically in her early 20’s but she is in reality 45.
Personality: Alexia is loyal to her starship the "Dauntless Fury" or as she has unofficially called it "The Little Fury" in private. She always analyzes a situation before committing action with her starship, trying to prevent any of her personnel dying. She also tries to take a different point when planning an operation, trying to find a better solution. She loves her crew dearly and is extremely professional. When not on duty, Alexia is a little more relaxed and will often invite officers of the ship to her quarters to discuss problems that might be over looked in a meeting. She is also one for criticism and takes it seriously, always wanting to improve her command. She detests the SS personnel on her starship personally but acts in a professional matter. She is a very open person, always giving her honest opinion on just about anything. She will not talk what happened to her when she was 17 and is enraged when she sees anyone male or female trying to take advantage of anyone for any reason. Alexia loves the culture of both the Russian Union and the North American Federation, one can often hear that music from her cabin as she writes reports. However, it is known that she has more taste for Russian culture, food, music, writing. She can write in English, Cyrillic and Spanish. She can speak in English, Russian, and after being posted in the outer colonies for so long, Spanish and Mandarin.
History: Alexia Simmons was born in Pevek, in the Russian Union on November 7 in 3313. Her Surname was Simmons. Her father Jacob Simmons a manager of a human corporation steel plant and was often there for her. He was of North American descent. Her mother Katenka Strukov of Russian descent was a member of the Republican council who represented Earth in the capital, London. She was often away. Alexia grew up an only child and at an early age made model starships that she would by from the local toy store. Seeing reports on ISN of the naval starships as an early child she wanted to command one some day. To her they were the perfect machine. At the age of 16 she attended the local secondary school in Pevek she dated a soccer player who was on the school team. However things took a turn for the worst when she turned 17, when he tried to unsuccessfully sexually assault her on a train. Coming home in tears, her father became furious. He pressed charges against the boy, and only got a slap on the wrist. When she became 18 she got a restraining order against him. After turning 18 in 3331, she enlisted in the navy where she wanted to become an officer. After taking and passing the entrance exam she attended the Armstrong Academy on Luna, eventually in four years becoming a midship woman.
In 3335 her very first assignment and midshipman’s cruise was on the Battle Cruiser Patriot in the First Fleet, Second Squadron, in the Alpha Centuari system. Her position on ship was of manning one of the six heavy plasma cannons. The Patriot was assigned to keep watch over the warp point in the system that lead to Sol since sometimes starships either military or civilian would have some sort of malfunction and would need help. As The Patriot would often patrol, part of Simmons’s job would be to also make sure the cannon was in working order. She was responsible for the targeting computer, In 3337, the commercial luxury liner Oracle was coming through the warp point from Sol, when one of the engines had severely malfunctioned. The closest starships to it was the Cruiser Patriot and the Heavy Cruiser Frederik.
The luxury liner radioed for help and began to try and evacuate. But before the first lifeboat could be launched the fourth engine malfunctioned and this time exploded. The Patriot then picked up on it’s radar a pirate battle cruiser . The pirate had it’s weapons and power off line before attacking the liner. The Patriot maneuvered into position to attack the pirate. In the ensuing battle, Alexia and the weapon that she helped man put four large holes inside the opponent. The Patriot only lost fourteen crew members but the pirate starship exploded when a plasma cannon hit one of it’s engines. This then caused a chain reaction and the power plant went critical. The destroyer exploded in a small sun. She didn’t feel special at all she just felt like she was doing what her duty was required of her. The Patriot then picked up surviving pirates who’d managed to get into escape pods, and civilians from the luxury liner.
In 3340 after her cruise on board the Patriot, Alexia was promoted to Cadet and assigned to the Destroyer Valor, Fifth fleet, Second squadron in the Hector Star System. Serving under Captain Majken Larsen she was assigned as Ensign. She was in charge of two heavy pulse plasma beams. The Hector star system was as usual quiet during her first seven months. Alexia would often assigned to the night shift. She was always a night owl anyways so this fit her perfectly. During one of the night shifts, fifteen minutes into the shift, general quarters was rung. The Valor had spotted a transport that had been taken over by pirates. The pirates were trying to escape the system with the cargo on board. The Valor and the Battleship Swift Justice both descended from their posts and headed near the edge of the system to intercept. As they closed in on the transport it self destructed. There were smaller craft on approach to the Swift Justice and Valor. Boarding craft were enroute. Three boarding craft made it past dense plasma fire, Alexia’s team couldn’t fire as their own weapon could not handle craft of that size. One pirate team did manage to make it to Alexia’s battery where her and some SDC personnel on the starship prevented the pirates to damage the plasma batteries. Alexia took two of the pirates down herself but it was a team effort.
Captain Larsen was quite impressed when she heard about the firefight in the battery room, as well as other areas that were attacked. An after action report noted Alexia helping one of her wounded comrades during the firefight and risking her own life to save him. He was saved by her. The Captain recommended to her superiors that both of them should be moved up in rank. However the request was denied, as they felt the operators would need more real world experience before moving up in rank. In 3344 she was then allowed six months of leave and only used two months to return to Earth. While on Earth she tried to visit her mother who like most of her childhood couldn’t see her due to her job. Anytime they planned to get together something else always got in the way. She then decided that she wanted to go back into the field…and why stay since her mother was always busy?
On 3345 she was assigned to the Battleship Remembrance in the Eighth fleet, Fourth squadron in the Marathon star system. While on the starship, Remembrance the eigth fleet discovered that part of the asteroid field in the outer part of the Marathon system had multiple bases. The Remembrance before the assault bombarded two asteroids with plasma batteries. Alexia helped command a section of the forward plasma batteries. The pirate bases were taken two weeks later. During this time, Rememberance would find and destroy smaller capital ships that the pirates had in the system. While attacking a destroyer, Alexia’s batter section was hit. Eight people were dead, and the compartments that had been hit had the doors sealed. She made sure that the other plasma batteries were not exposed or hit by personally speaking to the operators near the compartment that was hit. Rememberance and the rest of the fleet neutralized the pirates. After the incident, Alexi was given three months leave, as was the entire crew. Knowing that it’d take at least a month to get to Sol, she decided to instead take her leave on Hesperus. While there, she went to one of the major metropolitan cities Truele. Truele was a very relaxing place to have shore leave, there were many clubs and restaurants that she and her friends went to. It was also during this time that she learned that her mother had died due to a boating accident while water skiing. Alexia was saddened by this….however her mother was rarely in her life due to work responsibilities.
Up till 3347 she was then transferred to the Destroyer Nimitz in the Tenth Fleet, First Squadron located in Gallaway's Star system. Alexia was also promoted to Weapons Officer for the Destroyer Nimitz. The Destroyer Nimitz was assigned to intercept smugglers who had made their presence known in 3346 when illegal military and medical gear was found among one starship. It was one of the most traveled routes at the time due to the local naval picket being upgraded at Luna for severe upgrades that other naval installations couldn’t handle. When she arrived she given new duties such as making sure the starship weapons worked, a accounting of how much ammunition they had and in charge of radar for the starship. She spent most of her time in the Command and Information Center, coordinating with other departments. Eight months into the picket the Nimitz had been ordered away from the squadron. A distress call coming from a seemingly run down freighter that was in fact a trap. As the Nimitz moved in closer and with no response via comms after repeated attempts, the SDC troopers on board were getting inside boarding craft. Alexia warned the Captain that her teams would need more time to get better readings on who they were helping, but she was denied any more time. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.
As the Nimitz docked with the starship , the readouts on the screen verified that the starship was not in fact a freighter but a pirate destroyer. The pirate destroyer fired it’s weapons hitting the communications , engines and hanger bays. Both starships fired at one another with the enemy destroyer also taking damage. However the Nimitz couldn’t maneuver and was soon boarded by the pirates. The colonel in a panic ordered to abandon ship. This was rebuked by the commander, the XO of the starship. With unclear orders, the crew was split on what to do. Alexi ordered her people to get off the starship. She decided to stay behind and try to help purge the computers before escaping herself. About halfway through purging all the data of the starship, the pirates broke onto the bridge. A firefight ensued and attempting to shoot at one, Alexia was hit in her left eye knocking her back and severely bleeding. She heard more gunfire before it stopped. A SDC trooper looked over her and took her off the starship. The Nimitz was saved by the Cruiser Carr. Alexia was then on leave for a full year and under went rebuilding her eye via cellular therapy. She was cleared for duty and given a letter that had moved her up to the position of Commander, the XO of a starship.
In 3349 she served on the Battleship Patrick Henry, Sixth Fleet, Third squadron of the in the Remuls star system. She served under Captain Xi Hurau. Remuls was almost always known for it’s heavy activity of pirates, local revolts, armed rebellion and crime. In 3351 the world of Rohan had an increase in terrorism. A local terror cell had taken the Head of the Rohan government, the Emperor of Rohan hostage and had it’s own local fleet, consisting of eight starships: Three Battleships, Two Destroyers and Three Cruisers. They had been disguised for the past seven years as old hulks under repair and with the right bribes to officials and regulators it was built in plain sight. The Third Squadron attacked as the enemy squadron was still trying to wait for their comrades who had not yet taken off yet from the planet. The Patrick Henry heavily damaged one destroyer and destroyed a battleship. The Third Squadron took three losses out of ten. The enemy fleet surrendered after being reduced to only three ships, one cruiser, a destroyer and a battleship. Alexia relayed Colonel Hurau’s orders and helped coordinate the starship during the battle. The Emperor of Rohan was injured but saved, with the local police and soldiers of the Republican Army saving him on a road leading to a rarely used space port.
During leave on 3355 on the planet Gorbi , Alexia met her wife Alla Matrona Sokolov a head researcher in the medical wing of Human Corporation. She specialized in creating vaccines for various diseases. In 3356 they got married on Earth in Sokolov’s hometown of Tynda in the Russian Union in February, 17, 3356. Both of them were heart broken when they tried to apply to adopt a child from Hod. Alla was devastated. According to the law of the UCR , same sex couples were not allowed to have children at all even if they were a married couple. Alla was during this time sent to Lapovok in the Golan star system by the medical department of Human Corporation to continue her job. Alexia was then applied to become a commanding officer of a starship. After passing yet another entrance exam Alexi went back to the Armstrong Academy on Luna. The class was extremely tough for her especially in the area of mathematics. She took as much tutoring as she could to understand the very complex equations. She did pass the various courses in her studies. While there she studied under Admiral Preben Danielsen . While there she would often tell her wife of how she was doing and missed her dearly. In December of 3357 She became a captain and was assigned to the Dauntless Fury of the Second Fleet, Fourth Squadron. She immediately took to her job naturally and was stationed in Seldon. Her crew as well as the officers aboard her grew to like Alexia who took the time to learn the various departments of the ship. Every week she would host on the starship a special dinner for all the officers, including the SDC personnel. She constantly trained her crew and helped form them into the best crew that she could.
