Personality:
He is a stickler for the rules and very uptight. There is little room for error and he is very strict. Scrutinitizing everyone for almost everything they do. He is very loyal to those that are under his command and doesn't take well to people challenging his authority. He is a bit naive when it comes to letting things get personnel and is very strong willed. There is little that he will not get done that he instructed to do and is a man of his word.
History:
McCowan is a native to Earth and grew up in a lone torn in the mountains of Colorado. He was the son of an abusive father and raised by his mother. He was the one responsible for raising his younger sister after his mother passed away. When he was 18 he enlisted into the military in order to support her. He started out as a secretary for a lieutenant while he went through his college in order to gain his commission.
Whene he graduated with his degree in Military Intelligence he was sent to the intelligence division and stayed there working his way up through tactical intelligence. He was originally assigned to the command fleet as tactical command, despite having never setting foot on the battlefield or having ever seen combat.
From there he was sent to the UCS Dauntless and became their tactical command before moving into the position of XO to Captain Alexia Sokolov. This is where he is currently stationed.
