The 32nd Honored Brothers are an elite infantry unit of the Expeditionary Corps. As a whole, The Expeditionary Corps makes up the smallest portion of the UCHD Military. The Army and the Navy are the main forces and are stationed at each colony or core planet. The Army forces make up most of the defense forces and the Navy regularly patrols all sectors of space to keep all citizens safe. Each colony has it's own local milita which the army provides the weapons and training. There are no national armies anymore. The Expeditionary Corps is the tip of the spear and is sent in to fight in any armed interventions or wars. For hundreds of years, the Expeditionary Corps has been fighting and winning.
We are part of the 4th Division, 3rd Battalion. The Honored Brothers are not dissimilar to the special forces of old. The Honored Brothers are the 32nd Special Drop Corps Regiment. As a whole, the Special Drop Corps is the UCHD's elite infantry corps, similar to the Marine MARSOC, Army Rangers or Special Forces or SAS communities of the old 20th and 21st Centuries.
The Expeditionary Corps takes lineage from the United States Marine Corps and the British Royal Marine Commandos of the 20th Centuries and traces its lineage even further back to the Continental Marines of the American Colonial Era.
The Expeditionary Corps' Boot Camp is held on the UCHD's training world Arcturus , it's the longest of all the Services' boot camps lasting 4 Months long. The Army's training world is also Arcturus.
Infantry and MOS training takes from 1-3 months depending on what field you go into: (Infantry = 2 months) After that, a trooper is assigned to the Fleet, if selected for the Special Drops Corps, a trooper is sent to the planet Zanabar for advanced training for a year. Over the course of that year, troopers get advanced infantry training, special drop qualification and training and ship to ship assault training.
